New citizen here . Ceremony was last Thursday at the Irving Texas Field Office. Schedule was supposed to be @ 8:30, but they started the check in process around 8:45 which took about 45 minutes. Th

Updating daqh's In Line date: USCIS changed my In Line date from 1/29 to 3/14. I have no idea why the date had been changed. I haven't received any text/email about this update.

My interview is a week from today (so excited!) and my wife had a question about whether on not she can join me (at least in the waiting room and for the oath if done same day).

If it matters, she was not the basis from my greencard or citizenship applications.

I also went to my oath this morning. It was solemn. Good speakers. It lasted for about an hour.

The passport application though... That's where we spent around 2 hours. A lot of people applied.

Coming up this week for Dec2015ers...

No interviews or naturalization ceremonies.

It looks like the first batch of naturalization in our group is over. Looking at previous months, cases mostly fall into one of three groups rather than a steady stream of approvals.

The first (fast) group was interviewed and became citizens in March and April.

Now there's a bit of a slow-down and a gap.

The second (intermediate) group will be interviewed or will become citizens before the end of the summer.

Most applicants will be done by then, but there may be a handful of stragglers whose offices are backlogged, who live in areas with infrequent ceremonies, or who are stuck in background checks.

The third (slow) group might linger into the fall or winter.

This is in no way intentionally done by USCIS. It's just what happens when you have some offices processing faster than others and some cases needing more checks than others.

Did they change your inquiry's status?

Or, is it still the same: "[...] is currently not assigned for processing."?

Question to both, When you will be able to create an inquiry, my applications filled was 1/22, so far no update yet. When I tried to create an inquiry, the system stopped and it said still under processing time (My local office time says for 5 months). can you please give me your experience.
