I have added my self since I plan to apply for my US Passport shortly after taking oath in a week. Good luck to us all :)

Good question..... the post office only asked for one photo so that's what I gave them. I'll let you know once I hear back on the passport card, maybe that's why I haven't gotten it yet?

You only need one photo, for both book and card. The card photo is digitised, yes.

Congrats!

I encourage everyone who will apply for US Passport book, also apply for Passport Card if possible. Since the federal government will enact the Real ID Act from the beginning of 2016 and the state driver license may not be enough to let you boarding on even a domestic fly. Especially the states which its driver licenses did not comply with the federal standards. It is easier to carry and cheap, all other benefits you may read on the Department of States website. Just my opinion. Happy New Year 2016!!!

Passport cards also serve to confirm citizenship, giving you an additional document with full legal weight behind it. If your passport book were to ever become lost or stolen, you could use the card instead of your naturalization certificate to get a replacement.

Does USPS supply the envelope/address for the application? I aim to go to the local P.O. in the next week or so, after the S.S. visit, and I don't have anything to hand.

Just bring all required documents and payment. They take care the rest of it, including postal.

Added myself! The person stapled the corner of my application to the naturalisation certificate, which I could understand (even if it's obviously disappointing), but... it seemed they stapled all four corners of the photo to the application through the certificate too :S
