After seeing some of the timelines for the NVC to receive the case, I was expecting a wait of 2-3 weeks, but just called them and they said they received it today! Woo Hoo! Now to start calling for the case number next week.

quick question onfilling i-864 latest verision....

Part2: information about the principal immigrant....under mailing address, I would put the applicant's address not i? right? but at the end it puts USA automically and i can't change it.

also what do they mean by "in care of name" who would i put there

Hi everyone. At last, we now have our scan date (I believe it is). That's the date NVC received the AOS and IV packets, right? We have received an email from NVC and ours is November 3. Now, we have something to look forward to.

Hope, do not put anything in the state or zip code fields and it will not automatically go to USA. "In care of" is just who is to receive the mail. It is just a mailing address for the beneficiary.

Yes I understand how the preliminaries to the interview at different what I'm asking is if it's easy/quick to book an interview for costing isn't it an indication that an embassy isn't that busy and therefore it may be easy/quick to book an interview from cc as well.

What are your thoughts on that?

Nope has nothing to do with each other. Like Egypt good example they wait 3 to 4 months after CC but Visitor visas still get quick interviews usually within a month. That's all embassies because each embassy gives only a selective slot of space for each Visa type.

Last month when Jordan got so backlogged they announced for I believe October 20th they were opening up 100 slots to interview R1/CR1.

They definitely select only a few spousal Visa interviews a month and spread it out but most embassies its not too much a wait.

dwheels76 you would think I would know what you mean by my case being expedited since I have done this whole process on my own....but could you please elaborate?

Thank you for adding me to the spreadsheet I will go in there and add as much detail as I can. I'm amazed by the fact not a lot of petitioners for Cuba are adding their info to the spreadsheet.

Expedite as in did you request an expedite at NVC? Don't know how else to elaborate. If you didn't ask for it then that' that. Just was wondering

Good news for me, my husband called me up this morning and told me he called NVC yesterday requesting to speak with a supervisor. The CR said there was no need speaking with a supervisor that our case has been completed same day 4th November.

He called again and spoke with another CR and was told same thing that our case was completed.

Yes, yes, yes We received our NOA2 yesterday (just 56 days from NOA1 as predicted by VJ) and we are very glad to join you guys and jump into November's bus trip through NVC.

why is it that the Jamaican embassy is taking forever to conduct interviews? Why after case complete we have to wait up to 5 months to get an interview?

After receiving my NOA2 by post a month ago I have been rather lazy and have not bothered to follow up with the NVC until today. Anyway after being on hold for half an hour or so (expensive call from Australia) I finally spoke with a pretty helpful guy. I told him my USCIS receipt no and he was able to advise my case number and invoice ID number. Turns out my case was assigned 26th October and an instructions package had been mailed out to me. i haven't seen anything arrive yet so it's either lost or coming any day now. He took my email address and will resend the instructions package by email. i was able to nominate myself as agent over the phone which i think means i do not have to do the DS261 submission - can someone confirm this?? Apparently the the fees will be generated within the next few days and then i can log on and pay.
