NVC Filers - November 2015

NVC received my case from uscis October 27 and up to now. Still don't have my case number. I just called and they said 42 days for them to process it. 42 days? For real? That long?

My I130 was also approved on 7 oct and NVC received on 26 oct, i am also waiting for case number since then, calling NVC every day but they have same answer, 42 DAYS!!!!!

Question: Did you receive an email or letter from USCIS stating they sent your package to NVC?

I am just trying to clarify facts, I read that USCIS may or may NOT notify you about forwarding package to NVC.

I didn't received any email but i check uscis case status, that says my file has been sent to NVC on 21st October and on 26 october they receievd in NVC (according to NVC customer service).

Why does it matter about NA's. You called and gt confirmation. That 3 NA's isn;t an exact thing. You go by what NVC tells you. Now after 2 weeks start calling NVC for your case#. I know your husband has read the NVC Process wiki. All the best.

I have a question, I tried to look for the answer, but I fail...

Once I have the interview or the visa in hand, how many months do I have to enter in the USA ?

May I leave after? During several month?

The visa expires to enter US 6 months from the medical.

but 6 months is great !

Do you know if I can leave the country after ?

Let us imagine that I enter to the USA with the CR1 VISA (youyyyyyyyyyyyouuuuuuuuuyouyuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu !!), I stay there for one week or 2 then I come back to my country for several months (, let say 2 or 3, 4 max for work...) and then I go definitively to the USA !

May I do that ??

The visa is just to enter. You can turn around and leave the US for 6 months (I wouldn't recommend longer).

So yes you can eave you aren't a K1 and limited. Thus the perks of a spousal Visa.

That's a question that I was asking myself also... But I think you cannot leave the country until you have the Green Card in your hand and that one can take quite a while to get it. I might be wrong though...

So not true thats a K1 Visa holder waiting on AP or green card. You can leave anytime you want the minute you land you can leave. You will have a temp green card stamped in your passport goo for a year.

Have you called them and have them review it with you on the phone. I have advised 3 people this week who just submitted 2 weeks ago they got reviewed on phone. It's s tip on the wiki I had added. Call tomorrow.

The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment until the US Embassy or Consulate General has issued a visa.

The US Embassy or Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of the interview.
