Yes that's the number :) called it around 10 times this morning until I got through.

I press 1 for English first, then 7 because getting your NVC case number isn't named on any of the other options. Sorry I skipped over the 1 for English.

From when I have called recently, the option you want to get your case number is the one that says "To see if we received your mail" which I believe is 4? I pressed it by accident last week because I wanted to see if they had received what I had sent but when I tried to give my NVC case number she was expecting a USCIS number and transferred me. But the wait time for the first person was a lot shorter then it is when you press 7. When she transferred me, it was the same long wait then though.

No kidding? I never pushed that because I never mailed anything to NVC yet...I assumed that was for mail I sent, not them receiving my package from USCIS.

The options make it sound like that...but then when I called I waited for 5-10 minutes and then all she wanted was USCIS case number and when I wanted to give you my NVC case number she was like "Let me transfer you to a case specialist since you already have your case number"

I did not see the thread started yet for those who have their file transferred from a service center to NVC, so I started this thread.

I know there will be a lot of questions and comments, so let's try to keep it all organized in here! :)

First and foremost, if you are new to the NVC process, please view this link below that details the steps for NVC process.

Any other questions can go in this thread!

I too am still in NVC.

I have a couple of more steps to do before waiting on Case Complete.

Happy October!

Good luck to All.

I thought ur case must be completed by now.

Are u on supervisor review?

Yes I am. And I even talked to one supervisor. But she didn't give me a timeline and is not available to talk to whenever I've called. Also, when I called yesterday and asked about the ds-260, the rep was like, "Oh even that hasn't been reviewed yet. Let me put in a note about that. But honestly, ds-260 reviews are really backlogged and it's been taking over 60 days for them to be reviewed."

I am so disheartened. I can't even see the end anymore. I'm dying here.

Please someone help me.

I think once the frenzy to schedule people for interviews dies down, they should be able to revisit those who slipped through the cracks. Still can't figure out the NVC.

The NVC seems to be focusing on scheduling people for interview. Hopefully once the interview frenzy dies down they will get back to reviewing your case. Can't keep up with the NVC stories.

When you get the case complete you have a good argument for them to just send it straight to the Embassy for the interview, having to deal with all this mess.

It is like they are trying to take it out on your because you mentioned an error that they made. That is crazy.

Hoping they will at least give the senator an explanation for the delay.

VJs, we just received an email from NVC with a checklist attached. They are saying that they will forward the case to the embassy and that I should bring with me the documents missing. Does that mean my case is completed???

The other thing is: they checklisted us for missing the 2014 W-2, but then again hubby hasn't been working in the US since 2012, therefore no W-2s :/ What should we do? Is it possible that they just made a mistake/got confussed??
