If you do not love your wife, you need to get a divorce.

Potential future immigration with a second US citizen wide will be a red flag, but you can cross that bridge when you get to it.

This is only one side of the story with an ending statement of marrying 'another american girl'.. A shady intent.

If your wife and her family refused to communicate with you, you must have done something. Wait and maybe your divorce papers is coming.

For some reason your wife has cut off communication. In most US states you can file for a divorce by notification and divorce is a public record. You can check the records where ever she lives in about a year and see if she divorced you or not. Your current petition is dead without her so don't even bother with anything if she doesn't reconnect with you. You will not be able to have another petition filed for you based on a wife of fiancé until you have the proper papers ending this relationship . If you can't produce either US or Nigerian divorce or presumptive death papers you are still married.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Marrying ANOTHER AMERICAN GIRL? I suspect she feels you married her for the GC. That's why she and entire family is ignoring you. I might be wrong.

My advice is you use all means possible to get her back. I think that should be more important than the interview at the embassy. But again, that's if you love her

File for divorce in your country based on abandonment. Then, you can move on to marrying another American girl.

Why an American? Just wondering.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

1. How long has it been since you spoke to her? Depending on her line of work, it could be possible that she will have to go long times without speaking to you. Maybe there was a death in the family. That would preclude someone and an entire family from maintaining contact.

2. All doubts aside, she probably dumped you because it is too easy for you to think of your future prospects with another American girl, especially if she sees your post. She then knows exactly who you are and what you are about: entrance to the US of A and not really loving or caring for her.

It seems you have been abandoned for whatever reason. I would seek an immigration attorney which I'm sure u could find either through an organization or sliding scale and determine your options. Something like this happened to a Kenyan male friend of mine. Very, very, sweet guy. It seems his then wife woke up one morning and regretted turning against her friends and family for marrying outside of her culture and race. She bolted and didn't look back. He was able to stay and work (this was in Canada) but the thing is his first thought wasn't if he could/should find another Canadian to marry. He was actually abandoned and heartbroken due to no fault of his own...just sayin

The OP is not yet in the US and going to an interview and stating that he has a bona fide spousal relationship would be fraud and catch up to him very quickly. This site is monitored by immigration and they can add things up. If she ahs indeed bolted and isn't caught up in some disaster then he needs to legally terminate this relationship before he starts a new one any where. Being Nigerian IF he chooses to marry a USC again he will have a very difficult time convincing immigration that it is for love not fraud , more so if the missing spouse has written then with anything negative about his intent.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
