I didn't get any email on that. CEAC won't give any status change too. My husband called NVC 2 weeks after we submitted DS-261 and reviewed it over the phone. Normally it's 30 days but you can call them in 2 weeks if you don't see any IV invoice.

Hi all,

Just got my 1st notice for the I-130 i filed for my wife. Any idea on how long I'd wait and would it be advisable to file a K3 to speed things up?

Thanks and goodluck to all..

Ah! Ok! I was under the assumption that the N/A under the AOS and IV Documents had to change to something like "docs received"

Glad you guys tell me, because I was going to call NVC to see why it keeps saying N/A, if my doc's were already scanned into the system.

OK, so we only have to keep an eye on that 3rd N/A !!! If we waited, over 5 months on getting NOA2, we can handle a few weeks for CC... right???? :crying::crying::crying:

Yap that is right..... We will wait just 20 days.... that is the current time they are taking to review documents after scan date...... good luck

For a lot of people, it will not make a difference. I screwed up on my k3 and got an RFE, and so I think my i130 was delayed 2 weeks because of the K3. Now they're both at consulate, but I think they will close the K3 case.

To get an idea of i130 wait at uscis for Philippines, (looks like about a month)

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list.php?cfl=0&op1=a&op2=d&op3=5&op4=1&op5=5,6,8,10,11,13,14,15,16,17,18,20,21,22,25,26,27,28,108,110,111,208,210,211&op6=All&op66=All&op7=Philippines&dfile=No&adv=0

If I was to do it again, I would still file for both K3 & CR1. Just in case. Good luck

If NVC isn't able to grant me a CC in September, they will surely succeed to give me a heart attack.

After unlocking my daughter's case and reviewing her DS-261 last Friday, her IV invoice was sent by email yesterday morning.

Now, 25 hours later, I get a new email, and my head starts screaming: "IT'S A CHECKLIST", but no, it's just exactly the same invoice.

...

Funnily enough, the same has happened to my own documents - got an email last Saturday for acknowledging their receipt, and then on Monday another email exactly like it.

Thanks jayisis, i will do that.

Hi jakemars,

I would suggest for you to just keep your CR1 process. Since your spouse is from Philippines, they have priority with USCIS. Your case will be approved very quickly compared to everybody else (instead of 5 months, yours will be approved within 60 days max).

Hold on and you'll be getting to the NVC stage soon. The K3 visa is not so desirable, because your spouse will need to adjust status later (and it may be difficult to leave the US in case of any emergency back home), while with the CR1 she already will already have a greencard.
