Hi everyone,

I just want to wish you all the best this new month!! Please share any updates on your cases, and please, please, please fill out your timelines, as it helps us all, for statistical purposes.

A brief update on my case: at this point, I have done everything...from paying the fees to filling out the DS-261 & DS260 and sending the (AOS/IV) packages. All I can pray for is for no checklist and for a quick CC. But, based on the timelines of others, who have their spouses in Mexico, it is taking around 2 months for CC and another 2 months for interview.....sigh...

May God continue to bless us all in this journey!! (F)

Im so mad why is everyone tells me different thing each time i call

I got chicklist of everything missing (aos/support docs) which i sent by email n i had confirmation email a week after.

So three of them told me to ignore it

And three told me to resend it.

Who should i trust?

That is crazy. How long after they received the documents did you get a checklist?

Are you thinking of getting you senator or congressman involved if you haven't already done so. It is already a difficult process and the last of which is having to deal with incompetency.

Do you have an option to send physical forms of your documents they requested? That might help for everyone to be on same page. What was their reasoning for wanting you to resend it? Speak only to agents through option 7, and ask what step they are on.

If you guys have any questions specifically for me,

I will be glad to help via private message.

When you call to find out when your case has left USCIS, keep calling NVC to find out when they've received it. My case was received Aug 20 and my case number assigned only 2 business days later !!!! (Aug 24) Not sure if this is something thats trending but I waited a week thinking that would be a long shot that it would be assigned within a week and it had already been done and by the time i had called my AOS fee and DS-261 was already waiting for me!!
