Isn't odd how all the brainless left echo chamber are now big McCain fans when such a short time ago , he was so despised by them all, with so much Vitriol directed at him from the muddy left ditch

Still what Trump said was idiotic and smelled of D bagness

I don't recall what I had for lunch yesterday but I am sure it happened

It didn't happen here. I voted for him in 2008. None of the muddy left ditch attacked his service to the country.

Evidence suggests the list to be more extensive than that...

It's obvious that mathematics is not your best subject.

I don't recall the Muddy left ditch getting bent about this

http://www.politico.com/story/2015/07/al-franken-criticize-jon-mccain-captured-donald-trump-120359.html

Fifteen years ago, Al Franken took a dig at John McCain for being captured during the Vietnam War.

“I have tremendous respect for McCain but I don’t buy the war hero thing,” Franken wrote in an essay about the 2000 elections. “Anybody can be captured. I thought the idea was to capture them. As far as I’m concerned he sat out the war.”

But those comments are getting fresh attention after Donald Trump caused an uproar this weekend for making similar comments about McCain’s war record.

On Monday, Franken’s office contended that the comedian-turned-Minnesota senator was just kidding around. He didn’t become a senator until winning a closely contested race in 2008.

Al Franken the comedian/humorist is not meant to be taken the same way as the Senator

I am liberal and mindless, but I never questioned Senator McCain's sacrifice to his country or the price he paid as an Aviator for his country, he spent several years in a POW prison and came close to loosing his life. I disagree with many of his perspectives and you have to agree he is grumpy, but I think he is rational and fair and all maverickly like that. He strives to put forward the truth , owned up when he made errors. I never voted for the man, but I am sure I would pick McCain over Trump to have a beer with any day.

I think the only other person who questions McCain's service is Canadian-born Sen. Rafael Eduardo. He's been chumming up to Trump in the last few days...

You know it's real when the muddy left ditch is defending Sen McCain while he's under attack by folks on the right.

It might seem that way, but fact is that this kerfuffle is not about McCain at all. This entire thing is about the motley crew doing a great attempt a tap dancing trying to explain what Trump said, just because it reveals him for the real idiot that he is. McCain need not defend or justify his record. This is not on him at all, although he seems to attract morons. First Palin and now Trump... Poor man!

Trump does not differentiate

This is perhaps the larger issue. Someone who seeks to lead a nation needs to be precise in his language, regardless of what he opines.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I like Mccain and respect his service. He is a true American patriot.

However I would never call him a war hero. IMO a hero is someone who forsakes their own safety to possibly save the life/lives of others. Maybe McCain did this, but all I know is that he was a prisoner of war.

I realize "hero" is subjective, but IMO Trump is right……but he should not have said it.(considering he is running for president). McCain certainly served his country with honor…and continues to do so.

The Chumpster has no cred

On one hand McCain was awarded , the Silver Star, the Bronze Star, Purple Heart and Distinguished Flying Cross.

On the other hand Trump cannot remember which foot got him a medical deferment due to a bone spur
