thanks for making me giggle Darnell, its been tough couple days, i need it :)

while you are on your list of mum calling, can you call nvc's mum to help me out? thank you

hardeep looks like most people got their email for interview, you did not? if so i would call nvc as it seems mohali takes their sweet time with medical as well.

the email printout should be good enough to take to the medical

So I called nvc today the pervious agent who told me my case was scheduled lied. My case has not been scheduled for a interview yet

so I not understand how the case complete timetick would even apply to you.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Yep we're neck and neck! They say to allow 2-3 weeks, but it doesn't hurt to be a little proactive.

AEH85,

I had called the NVC everyday for a case number and it took exactly 2 weeks from the date the case was received at NVC June 22 to July 6.

It looks like the NVC has been pretty consistent on that timeline. Did you try calling before the 2 week period?

K & V,

yes I called every day. It made me feel somewhat in control over something that I had no control over for the last 5 months while my petition was at USCIS. Also, I didn't want to waste a single day after I got the case number before I submitted my DS 261. That took 3 days though as my case number was assigned 7/7 and the DS261 wasn't available until 7/10 (last Friday). Now I'm waiting for the AOS to be available to be paid. So even though now you are aware there are things actually happening, it's still very much a waiting game. I try and pay the AOS about 3 times a day.

Hey there

USCIS sent us the email that our case has been forwarded to the state department for visa processing. How long after the case is sent should we receive the letter from the NVC? Thanks

If God takes us to it, He'll bring us through it. He'll never take us where His grace cannot reach and keep us

I'd call them if I were you. My case was received, case number assigned, ds261 sent and AOS fee is paid and I still haven't been contacted by them. You need to be proactive if you want to move it along faster.

But i couldn't pay the iv fee online , on may 16 i paid it by mail , it never show as " Paid" online until july 4, . When i called nvc on june 25 one agent told me that they already reviewed all our documents and everything is ok an they just need our ds260 to complete our case . Finaly on july 6 we completed the ds260 . Do you guys think that they will take 30 days to review just the ds260 form ?

We also could only submit our DS260 after receiving a checklist saying it was missing. We submitted on June 19th, nearly 30 days ago, and no response so far :(

Other people that submitted their DS260 around that date already got case complete during the past few weeks.

It's very random - or I'm very unlucky :(
