Urgent! Was was denied visa in Ghana today

Maybe they never denied her visa, but requesting some details. If you could share with us what the CO told her in its entirety, then most people in vj forum might figure out what to say. Now, all what we re saying might be basically speculative.

The paper said that her visa is denied and the case will be sent back to nvc then to uscis. I called my congressman office and they said that a chief consulate officer will review it before it is sent back to the u.s. so I'm hoping a miracle happens. If I gave you access to my Google drive and you see all the evidence I provided, you would curse the lady.

If you get a second chance at the embassy BEFORE your case is returned then you can submit the DNA and hopefully will be approved.

If she wanted a DNA test then she should have asked you for one and given you a 221g and put you in AP until the DNA test was complete.

Let them know through the senator that the CO did not instruct you on how to do the DNA test instead of complaining that 'they' didn't tell you to do one

and whom is she talking about saying "they" didn't make you take a DNA test.

There is a specific process and they only accept specimen and results from labs and facilities to collect the specimen so don't pick just any lab.

What a crazy CO.

If your case gets returned then USCIS will let you know how to proceed in the NOID/NOIR letter and you can submit the DNA.

Hopefully it gets a review at the consulate now. Let us know what happens.

My wife was denied visa in Ghana today. They said they are sending the case to the U.S. how do I stop them and keep my case in Ghana? I need urgent advice. having the evidence and getting it into the casefile are 2 different things, aye?

if you and your spouse not sideload this evidence into NVC during the civil docs submittal, well, a Vice-Consul did not make the time to review it prior to your interview day, as for him/her, it did not exist.

I agree with Ebunalowa, they should have requested the DNA test first before denying the visa sending it back. Contact the congressperson again and ask them to contact the consulate to see if the DNA test can be done ASAP and have them ask how you go about having the DNA test done. When my husband was in AP the liaison at my senator's office was able to call the consulate in Amman, hopefully in Ghana they can do the same. I'm sorry and good luck! Keep us updated.

If this is the so called 'blonde CO in Ghana' who denies everyone indiscriminantly, then I am pleading with this community to help us do something about it. Someone posted the same exact situation a couple of weeks ago and so it seems that she's just up to something at the embassy. This is unfair to many who have waited sometimes for years to get to that point, only to get an undetailed simple denial and snarky response. This is unfair, rude and unprofessional of her and something must be done about it!!!! I'm so upset that you went through this bro. Smh the other person also had two kids and similar evidence. I'm so sickened by her alleged attitude and professionalism!

The comments of help for the poster is great, but anyone who has not been to this Emabssy doesn't understand this co is has a ugly attitude and has a nasty presence! You can provide everything she ask for and she will still say she doesn't believe she already has a attitude before you approach her window what is it that can be done for a consular who acts this way?? If you go look through Ghana threads you will see what I'm talking about its the same co!

Be sure to include this CO's track history in your senatorial inquiry. Maybe we can get a senior official to start looking into this woman's activities at the embassy. This is an outrage!

You cannot keep the file in Ghana. You were likely issued a 221g either stating a denial or asking for evidence. If the file is sent back to the USA then you wait until the USCIS looks at it again and sends it back.

With immediate senatorial request some couples are successful to keep the petition at the embassy.

It depends how fast you get it done and it is embassy specific, it depends entirely on the good graces of the CO / chief consul.

So yes, it is possible (not always) to keep a case at the embassy.

To do so would be re-adjudicating the CRBA application, and it takes much more than the personal opinion on one (apparently VERY unhappy in life) visa officer to do that. Save your money and don't do DNA at this point. The results would not be accepted at the Embassy anyway -- they have specific procedures that must be followed to ensure the chain of custody of the DNA samples meets their standards. Anything you do outside that process would be ignored.

Good luck on getting some resolution to this -- sorry I don't have any better advice than you've already received here already.

My dear friend, you see now that most comments we were making were merely speculative. Honestly, I don't see any reason why they didn't give her the visa. However, just respect the CO's request and grt the DNA done. Good luck

I would go through my congressman or senator. If you email the chief consular at your consulate you may or may not get an answer

and she may just be the chief, who knows and throw your complaint in the trash can.

Get some people together that want to complain and if several complaints reach the consulate all at the same time then

it may help but I would go through a congressman/senator.
