Event Description

Embassy Review : I'm the us citizen and I went with my wife and our 14month old son. I surprised my wife 5days before with this trip.💕.
So this is it: From reading other posts, you get the beginning things. No need to repeat. We got called to three windows during our process. Finally got to the person I believe to be KM. WE HAD SUBMITTED OUR STASH FIRST to a lady who complained we wanted to break her shoulders with all of our evidence. YES! lol Several indications told us that we will get it. We were one of only 4 families/applicants waiting last. At 12:30pm all of them were handed their passports and told to come back after 1pm after theyve had their lunch. We were the only folk not told to. After moving closer to the interview Windows side of the seating arrangement, The lady giving back passports saw us and she called my wife and asked her name, as soon as my wife said her name, she signaled for her to sit and wait. Almost as if to say "oh yea you guys, just relax. 'We know you' 😀😀😀. Shoulder breaking evidence family with a cute and loud son hihihi. " . We figured they wanted us interviewed and done with before they headed to lunch. I believe the request to keep us there was made by our interviewer.

So fast forward, we finally get called. Serious but non-threatening demeanor.(KM)
She focused on my wife's past visa application involving a step dad of mine. I asked him to invite my then girlfriend/now wife for vacation and my wife had put relative as relation.(2011) There were about several questions related to it.
1) first was how long we've been together, Wifee stumbled a bit 😜😜😜..but she picked herself up quickly and counsular did not mind me jumping in.

2) She asked my wife if she's blood related to my step, no.
3) She asked me as well and I said no.
4) She asked about my co-sponsor and aunt.
5) How long I've been leaving with her and the (step) in US.
6) If they were still together and I said no, they divorced last year. It was to show that the 2011 invite from him was legit.
7) Is my son leaving in us or gh?
8) first marriage for both of us. Yes.. No other kids by either of us.
9) was my son conceived whiles we were married?
10) when I'm going back. That's it. Very simple.
After she gave us back all our items, she picked her passport up and I swear I thought she was giving it back 😁😁😁 but then she sat it by the hole and omg we were all relieved. 😅.. This was all quick. This seems like a lot of questions but I don't believe it lasted more than 3 minutes.
Then the blue paper came out and the Yadi yada stuff lol

EVIDENCE (besides the usual passport and 2 photos)

Tax transcripts for 2014 from me and 2012-2014 from co-sponsor. They did not take our w-2 form.
My son's born abroad certificate
Wedding program.
Money transfer from 2012-2015. We had about 5 receipts.
Skype from 2009-2015 .. We submitted every month . 2 sheets of each day.
Vibeer..we had call log for just 2015.
Whatsapp.. 2013-2015.. 2 sheets of every day of every month if available. Mostly were for us. A lot.
WIFE's change of name document., birth cert.
Marriage certificate.

Every one of those chat logs had a separate folder for it. Lots of stuff!

Our album had to be folded to fit through the window. KM joked about us doing it better than her.
Please make it easy for them. Order and arrangement is key. For the album we put and labeled every photo. Yes every photo with descriptions. In order of progression of relationship. We've been together for 6 and a half years so a lot to go with and this trip was my 5th but 6th if u count the day we met.

ALBUM LAYOUT
2010(f2nd meeting - several pictures) , 3rd meeting 2013 pre-engagement, 2013 engagement , post engagement ,4th meeting same year for wedding-church wedding. 5th meeting - son born, outdooring and christening . And my grandmother's funeral in KSI 2 pictures of us. Then finally we had to fill up the album so we included some extra pics we had. We put in dividers with clear labels identifying the event. We did so with the chats.
Please please label with description your photos. name the people and events. They care more about the crowd around you than you two. Pictures of both of you are important but stack it with you and your friends, family, love ones especially with the events.

I believe my son was good enough evidence, contrary to what some have said. My 14 month old son made KM smile and waved at him even before we started then afterwards. She did not mind him being loud at times 😊. She's a serious person but her stirring at the computer is part of her job, to compute and match what you say with whatever evidence they have. We had no issues with it.

I know some of you are worried. Yes it's intimidating but for us, as the day went by, we got more confident. We saw many people approved. Few people were told to come back. Didn't see or talk to anyone who was outrightly denied. I know because we were all sort of pulling for one another and they were open about their results. That's Ghanaians for you 😂. We had the most evidence by far among interview goers of the day. We went prepared and submitted everything we had. Period. If you are starting your application, frontload, sideload, do all of that but we did none of that. We took all we had to the interview. Everyone is different but if you started out without having side loaded, don't be discouraged at all, take what you have there. It will matter! For US citizens, please go support your spouse if you can. It makes a hugeeeee difference. I figured nothing was going to keep me from being there for my wife, not even a job. My family comes first. Period!

I would post a picture I took of the stash but I don't know how. Perhaps someone can help me so I can share what my evidence looked like. Good luck to everyone and as I did earlier, thanks to Dwheels, Ryan, Boiler, Ebonuwola and the vets on this site. We had so many people to thank for their prayers. More so that we prayed very little 😀. For those who're close to their dates, God be with you! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. Your expectations will never be cut off. Though it tarry, it shall surely come to past!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
