Did you receive email from NVC when DS-261 was reviewed ? The email should state who is appointed as an agent.

Nope been 8 days since it was reviewed and nothing yet their getting a supervisor to look into why it hasn't generated yet .

You should use the form I864 for your wife and the joint sponsor.

Thanks a lot for the reply.

But sorry to say that my doubt still persists.

does this mean one I864 by the sponsor and another I864 by the joint sponsor?

Please tell me why I864A form is not needed.

Thanks a lot for the reply,

Is it mandatory to file I864A if sponsor and co-sponsor is living in same household. I heard I864A rejection and checklist chances are more.

Anyone here filed I864A.?

Hi all, got a question about scan dates. I sent my AOS documents to the NVC on Feb 27th while I was waiting for the stupid IV bill to get invoiced. It finally got invoiced on the third week of March and I sent the IV docs to them. Scan date for that was 3/30, but I got a checklist for the AOS the same day due to a unfilled field in the I-864. I sent the fixed I-864 and it was scanned on 4/8. Should I be expecting a CC (assuming there are no more checklists) based on the scan date of the IV docs, or the scan date for the checklist?

I sent AOS and Civil documents and the documents reached NVC.

Thereafter, I received NVC welcome letter which has document cover sheet with Available, Not Available, Not Applicable options.

I could not send this document cover sheet with checklist (but sent the BARCODE Sheet) with AOS and Civil documents because I received the Welcome package after I sent AOS and Civil documents.

Will there be any issues ?

Now that I sent all documents with BARCODE Sheet, Do I need to send the document cover sheet that came with NVC welcome letter ? If yes, do I need to write a cover letter asking them to add this document cover sheet with the documents already sent ?

thank you very much for ur answer!!

what if i sent it in already though? im not sure if its in the package, i simply dont remember, maybe im just tripping :(

it would put my mind at rest to send the marriage certificates overnight, just to be sure...would it hurt if they would have two?

and there i was, thinking that after i check and tripplecheck my packages and send them off i wont be THAT stressed anymore...lol!

it wouldn't hurt if they have two...Your scan date might get pushed by couple of days...but, that's ok...couple of days is better than getting a checklist after a month or more of waiting

Hi Everyone,

I am so confused :huh2: now and need help @Saylin if you can advise me.

Got a checklist and now I have to mention my income which is 0 as I don't work in Part 6 - (5). I called NVC and they said to mention my husband (Who is the intended immigrant) to mention his wages in Part 6.a. Do I need to fill his 1864A as well now as it is mentioned in the instructions ?

:(

1. Did u have a joint sponsor to begin with?

2. Are you planning to use your husband's income as well to meet the poverty guideline requirements ?

If you have a joint sponsor and don't plan to use your husband's income, then

1. Fill I-864 by you with income listed as '0' in part 6 - (5) and leave part 6.a blank

2. Then, ask your joint sponsor to fill I-864 and give you their tax transcripts.

Ensure that your joint sponsor enters correct numbers on form I-864 for past year's income. As per Saylin, "Use the correct numbers on the I-864/I-864EZ for past year's incomes. As it states RIGHT IN THE QUESTION, if you filed a 1040 (or 1040A), then use total income, and if you filed a 1040EZ, then use adjusted gross income. If you filed jointly, then make sure you use the combined income (since it doesn't separate the incomes) and then submit W2s to show individual income."
