Yes, it's okay to send out the packet before the IV fee is invoiced. However, try to get it done within 20-25 days as case completes are averaging 45 days and I've seen members getting checklists for not completing the DS-260 form

don't give up. I also feel the same way when I got my checklist. Cried for a couple of days and it's still the same you cannot do something about it but comply. In the name of love. You need to be strong and have faith.

i don't have idea about what you asked me

i know that if you have interview after 15 april you have to show them tax for 2014

Extra: Tax Information

TAX SEASON IS HERE!

Here are two frequently asked questions and my answers in regards to tax season:

Do I have to file 2014 taxes before I can fill out the I-864 form?

No. Up until April 15th, 2015 (tax deadline), you can still use 2013 as the most recent tax year. If for whatever reason you want to use 2014 as the most recent year instead (due to whatever reason), then yes, you can use 2014 as the most recent year as well. Both are valid options.

Keep in mind though: if you submit 2013 tax information as the most recent year and your interview is scheduled after April 15th, then 2014 tax information will likely be required at the interview.

I received AOS checklist the other day. Scan date 03/23. I used 2013 as the most recent year, because my 2014 taxes weren't done yet at the time of the submission. The NVC rep told me that if your case is reviewed after 04/15 you have to use 2014 as the most recent year. Lucky me AOS package was reviewed on 04/16. Now they ask me to redo and resubmit both sponsor and co-sponsor's i-864's, and to submit 2014 tax info.

So the waiting continues.

Thank You,

i just phoned them was on hold for 30 minutes and the rep wouldn't review my DS-261 over the phone. He was very nice but stated the 42 day spiel. does it just depend which rep people get because i have noticed some people getting phone reviews?

Yes, I would say it really depends on who you are talking to. We called few days ago to have our Ds 261 reviewed but although repo was really nice he refused to review it and told us to wait 30 days. We took advice from VJ and called again and we got it reviewed just yesterday :D so don't give up, call and be polite but persistent and if that doesn't work, hang up and call again until you get what you want ;)

Hey guys, just a question please... My husband filed for an extension for his taxes, so is it ok to just submit his tax forms for last year (2014) and this year's w2 with the AOS package?

Palangga,

I think it should be fine. Just explain that he has an extension. We just got case closed having submitted 2013 form (no tax transcript) as it was submitted late. We explained this and that we would bring it and 2014 to interview. After getting the transcript finally, we called the NVC and was told to send it in. We mailed it on Tuesday and got case closed on Wednesday so they were obviously satisfied.

I hope this helps.

Hi Everyone,

I just called NVC regarding my checklist and i am not too sure about the information that was given to me. Can you guys please help.

NVC just requested my 2014 tax return and my income information. As i am residing outside the US and not working the NVC customer service agent asked me to put my husband's projected income of 2015 in Part 6 Section 10 of I-864. Which seems a bit odd.

The joint sponsor is my father and NVC informed that his I-864 is complete.

Question: Do i really need to put my husband's income on my I-864, Part 6 section 10 (my current annual household income)?

Thank you
