Received welcome letter today notice date June 30, 2015. What a big relief!

I am praying for others who are still waiting, :)

A huge Congrats to you, Girl from Celebes!!!

They don't changed status very often. Some people are lucky to have it and including its tracking number for their green cards. Mine still says " fingerprint fee was received" as well and they already approved my I-485. I received RFE back in May 22, 2015. Don't rely on it at all.

My AoS has never been updated. I was just amazed that the EAD did get an update, but really I got the Notice of Action in the mail the next day anyway. Still waiting for the card to be produced so I can go back to be a productive member of society. 14.5 months and counting here.... so even an EAD renewal gets me excited.

Tomorrow I'm taking my stepson to his medical appointment, then my husband has his on Thursday. We leave next Thursday (16th) for our vacation, so I'm hoping they will have our sealed medicals back in time to mail off to Tampa before we leave! They told me 5-7 days to have them back. what?!?! :clock:

As you may suspect, I've never heard back from the IO in Tampa about clarifying what is needed from us for our RFE. Shocker. No "Welcome to the USA without having to redo your medical because we know we suck and took forever!" letter either. huh.

This is showing how un-organized these things. From "Tampa"! and you are in California. If they wanted to dumped the package sent those to at least at same state. The files scattered around the country. I am in Florida but the RFE letter from Fairfax, Virginia. I am shaking my head!

And to prove that it's even more inefficient than we first thought: my local office processing times are quicker than the office my file went to.:bonk:

Yeah, that situation really make people wanted to choke, honestly. I think some people need to think something to change this phychical process at first place as a starting point of this change. These politicians kept saying want a reform for immigration law. Well, start from this small step first. Let the local office processing the files.

Good Day VJ'S

Haven't been on here in a while......

Wanted to know if there is anyone that filed in April 2014 that received the potential interview waiver letter in July 29th, 2014.

My husband hasn't received any update yet. Our last info pass was on Jan 30th, 2015 - outcome still in Lee's Summit MO processing.

Received his 2nd EAD/Travel card in May 5th, 2015.

Is there any new forums on the subject that I should be following?

Appreciate any tips or updates.

Thank you, Tina! :)

Congrats! Mine is one year and 2 weeks.

Thank you,

Hopefully yours arrives any day now. I'm sure this must be common knowledge here, but it's probably not worth it to check the USCIS website for updates... Mine has not changed at all even after receiving the welcome letter.

Yes, I am not really worried now knowing I will have my green card before moving to another state. See you for the next round, Removing of Condition, :D

Out timelines are similar. I would (and did) do two things: (1) Call the 1-800 number for USCIS and file an "Out of Normal Processing Time Request". I did it with Tier 1. Some said to ask for a Tier 2 agent. The agent will tell you that it will take 15 to 30 days to receive a response. (2) Since you last Infopass appointment was in Jan 2015, schedule another one. This time, ask whether your case is at a field office; if so, the location of the field office and when the file was sent there; and if it has been assigned to an immigration officer.

Another option, although I haven't done it yet, is to contact the Ombudsman. This typically takes 45 days to get a response.

First of all, don't worry, you're definitely not the only April 2014 applicant here. My husband has the same timeline as yours. Our AOS is 4/10/14 and NPIW dated 7/29/14.

We submited two service request online on January and March, but just get some general answer, nothing important. Besides that, We havn't recevied any updates. So we scheduled an infopass in Los Angeles field office on 6/24/15. The officer told us that the case has been sent to their office(Los Angeles office) this March and waiting for processing now. We told him that my husband has been admitted to a master program in CAL STATE LA, we really need to get the green card before Septemper to apply the financial aid. Then the officer said he will help to follow up the case.

Then, we received a REF letter last week dated 6/26/15, just two days after the infopass. Although it is just a REF letter, i think it is a good sign...So, i'll suggest you to schedule another infopass and discuss your case with a USCIS offier face to face.
