Verve just received a new 797C for EAD stating USCIS will use my husband's previously captured fingerprints and other biometrics and anew biometrics appointment is not necessary. It only came for EAD, not AP. I'm curious if they'll require a new biometrics appointment for this since no letter has been received for AP. Anyone experience this?

You're good. Biometrics are never required for AP.

If you look on the biometrics appointment letter from when you originally first filed you'll see the reference numbers on it are only for the AOS & EAD and not AP.

After 45 days of submitting an e-service request, Today, they assigned it to an officer to process it. Hopefully, something will happen. 12 days and 1 year will be passed since the day I submit AOS. Still waiting........

We just looked at Johan's expiration date on his. Time to send ours in too! I thought it'd be 120 days after we left on our trip, but it's MONDAY. ooops. Thanks for the reminder that ours needs to be done too.

Ours is headed to Tampa, Fl. It just means that they send your file to an office that isn't your local office.

Yeah this is good news. It means your case has finally made it out of the purgatory that is the National Benefits Centre and has been transferred to a local office for processing. Even better the RFE means someone has picked the file up. Don't worry about the fact that the file isn't at your local office - this is totally normal. USCIS work on the assumption that as the case probably isn't going to need an interview it doesn't matter which office processes it. They just send it to the office with the least work on at that time. I'm in Dayton OH and my case was processed in Newark, NJ.

Had a very strange thing happen. I got a text this morning that our case number was updated. So I logged into USCIS website and it said that the EAD Renewal case number was updated (we already received the EAD Renewal Card). But when you click on the case number everything is that same. Says EAD card was delivered to you on 5/5/2015.

So I checked the Case number for the GC (I485) and the update date is the same and when you click on that case nnumber it is also the same. Says that they mailed RFE on 5/8/2015.

What the Heck!! Why would they even mess with the EAD case number at this point?? Im concerned and frustrated.

How many days since you received the EAD renewal? Could it be a random update linked to the delivery process?

I just wanted to let you know that i have filed for AOS April 2014 , got an RFE for new medical exam end of May , 2015 submitted it June 8th , 2015 , almost one month now and i am still waiting for an answer !!

On the 27th of June we got a text and email message saying our GC was in production on 4/16.Don't sweat that message; their IT department is run by morons..

BTW I still watch everyday but I had to post...

Nlhernan, now this morning I checked USCIS web site and our case number for I485 says updated 07/05/15. But when you click on the case number everything is still the same as before" Request for evidence sent on 5/8/15". Ao I dont understand what is going. Strange.

Just got a text message that the renewal of EAD has been approved. No movement of the AoS yet. The text says "You case MSC159XXXXXXX is now updated. Check 'My Case Status' at www.uscis.gov." Online status check has changed to:

"On July 1, 2015, we approved your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization , Receipt Number MSC159XXXXXXX. We will mail your approval notice. Please follow the instructions in the notice."

It's the first time I got any text from USCIS since I signed up. LOL!
