hey guys. I was so busy moving and stuff. Just want to give y'all an update:)

Short version: I'm green as of 6pm today~~yay

Long version: Filed in July 2014, got waiver letter Oct 15 if i remember it correctly~ so, I made at least 5 service requests after that date! The latest ones were on April 18th I made a request, as of May 18th, no one worked on my request so I made a new one! I checked the request status everyday, no one worked on it as of 3:30pm this afternoon. So I called and talked with a Tier 2. She told me that her system showed that someone started to work on my case TODAY, literally 7/15/2015. So, TODAY 7/15/2015 at 6pm I got an update on my case saying card in production.

1 year, after 1 year of them having my case and not looking at it, it took them less than ONE DAY from picking my case up to reviewing my case to approving my case!!! what the what!! USCIS!!!

Well, anyways, here is the end of AOS. See you guys in a year and a half!! Good luck to those still waiting! Don't forget to call USCIS constantly!

So, i did receive my welcome letter in mail on 07/13 and it says that my GC will be delivered in the mail in 3 weeks. yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

Question: Does it really take 3 weeks to arrive or its just a time frame given but it arrives earlier? After shipping the GC does USCIS updates case status with a tracking #?

Congratulation Man, happy for you . I got RFE and they need me to redo the medical examination and to resend a copy of our marriage certificate. (This is non sense). But nothing to do about it. I scheduled a medical exam and will send them back the sealed envelope soon. Hopefully they will approve and finish this waiting dilemma.

You need to call them for the card. This happened to me, card approved and no notification no mail until I called them. The next day, the notification and tracking came. Call them!

Just called USCIS... you have to be insistent to get to Tier 2. I asked 3 times before I was transferred. The Tier 2 IO said that the card has been sent to the printer on the date of approval, so nothing we can do but to wait. A note to anyone calling... I tried right at 8AM, and Tier 1 wasn't opened yet. At 8:05, I got through. When I was finally transferred to Tier 2, there was no wait time and the IO picked up almost right away. During the day, the transfer time could be 20-30 min sometimes.

Haven't been here in a while, but we finally got our approval on 7/9/15 via USCIS site status update and notice in the mail on 7/13/15. Another chapter on this long journey complete...Yay

On July 16, 2015, we mailed your new card for Receipt Number MSCXXXXXXXXXX, to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your card by August 15, 2015, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we send your new card to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Wow, I am sorry to hear that. I sent my RFE almost at same time with yours. And this is almost a month. Have you tried to call them back for the last couple of days? I read that your local office is close to you, if I don't mistakenly remember.

What USCIS does is very abusive!! They make errors and take much longer than the normal processing times and we are the ones paying the price. To take another medical exam because they are behind is just ridiculous.

The mentality is that it's a privilege for foreigners to become legal residents that's why do as they please. Every time I call I'm told oh in 30 days. But when 30 pass and I call I'm told 30 more days.

It's incredible that coming here legally with our k1 We are sitting here a year later without being issued a green card. Yet I know others that have come with B1/B2 visas overstay their visa, marry here and submit papers and already have their green card in 3/4 months. I just don't get it.

Not all people with a B1/B2 visa get a green card that fast. We have been waiting a year, with an interview waiver. And not all B1/B2 people come here and overstay and get married. My husband came here very legally after we were already married. A change in circumstances was our reason to adjust status. I do agree the whole system pretty much sucks right now.

Thanks man; i hope you get yours soon. But looking at what they are requesting from you, one thing is very clear that USCIS doesn't have any specific rules to play the game. they may request an RFE or an updated medical after more than an yr from one applicant but from the other they might not ask for even a single extra proof or paper. This is all the game of nerves. Best of luck.
