It's not required to pay before you leave. I have been reading that they aren't letting you in to pay right away but some do.

Just pay later its not required you have a year to pay the fee.

It's the $165 USD visa fee and yes everyone has to pay it. It's best to pay before POE as it's supposed to speed up time to getting your green card, but people are saying it's taking up to 3 months to get the green card anyways. But it's not necessary to pay before leaving the country. You have a year after arriving to pay the fee. Good luck to you!

We received a case complete today. Awaiting the scheduling of an interview in Bogota, Colombia.

Yes. Two different things ?

It's all dependent on how busy your Embassy/Consulate is. It took 13 days for mine to be scheduled. But it can take several months as well, again depending on the country. Have you tried calling NVC? That's how I got my interview date.

I haven't seen a UK person since March so have no idea if they have even started May scheduling, You will know if you did they are sending the P4 letter immediately upon scheduling. You could always call NVC to see if they have started for your embassy.
