What has happened??? I thought this was a forum where we helped each other out?? No, pregnancy is not a criteria for speeding up the process. And there is so many nicer ways of saying this than attacking. Can't believe it even comes from people who I considered as nice people. Guess I was wrong... Kylajose I am sorry you had an awful first time posting and I can assure you that most of the members here are not ####### even though it currently seems that way.

Wow. Absolutely flabergasted by the hateful posts in this thread. Whatever your beliefs of right and wrong, so be it, but there is zero need to spread such hateful feelings. Kylajose I really do feel for you, an unimaginably difficult position to be in. I have been feeling so frustrated about our process lately as we head into the ninth month of waiting and I cannot even imagine how difficult this would be if I was pregnant. Apologies that this post supplies no useful information for you but I could not pass by and let you be virtually attacked in this way.

Sending a virtual hug at this very difficult time, I hope you are not put off seeking out help and advice here as your process continues.. best of luck :) xxx

several posts removed for personal insults, along with half a dozen more for quoting those insults.

admin action has been taken.

do not insult other members.

Thank you moderators for cracking down on this. Comments like the "out of wedlock" one could very easily turn this wonderful site into a ghost town. I mean, who wants to come on here to be shamed, bullied and disrespected and for no reason. A first time poster to boot!

I think people get insulted or offended when someone comes along and is looking for a faster way through this process. I spent 11 months at the TSC. It was very difficult to read those posts and not think bad things... I'm still angry about that long wait btw...

end result, do a search on VJ for pregnancy expedites and it will bring up tons of threads answering the OP's question. No need to make nasty comments.. She will find out on her own that there is nothing else to do but wait. ( sigh)

good god, keep your relief beliefs out of this. If you cant add anything to the OPs question then stay out of the thread. No one is forcing you to read or comment.

As answered by others, pregnancy is not a criteria for expedite, but having said that I have seen posters who got expedite approved as reason being pregnancy.

OP congrats on your pregnancy. A baby is a blessing. Regardless of marital status.

I know that it wouldn't be ideal, but I second the thought of possibly having the child in your fiancés country? Not ideal by any means but a thought.

Can you link to one of these cases? It is important to distinguish between pregnancy, which as you noted is not accepted as a reason, and something like extreme financial hardship, which is. Perhaps in the cases you saw both situations were present, but that does not mean the pregnancy was the reason.

Just saw this post and needed to add my two cents:

The whole "out of wedlock" remark was totally unnecessary seeing as how even if she was married that still would not be a reason for an expedite. There's a big difference between being blunt and then throwing shade to be a jerk.

From personal experience, for anyone who comes to this post inquiring if they will be expedited due to pregnancy I will agree and say, no. I attempted two expedite requests thinking I met the criteria, and also contacted my congressman and was advised that although it appeared I did meet the requirements that because of my pregnancy there would be no reason for an expedite. In short, my son was born healthy, I am healthy and the six months went by very fast for me. The NOA2 was a great relief when I did receive it without any RFEs and in a few weeks when my family Is complete this whole journey will be a lovely story to share with our son and the other children we plan on having.

The original question was very valid as it was what stumbled me across his great website in the very beginning and I'm grateful for that because you really get a feel of community from those who file in the same month as you or those who have beneficiaries in the same country. The bitter folks make these forums a drag and make me wonder why anyone would want to marry them in the first place, I guess desperation.

The total amount of days from the date I mailed in our K1 Visa application to the day my fiancé stepped foot into the USA:

1 year, 3 months and 8 days.

The amount of days from the date we mailed in our AOS to the date everything was approved (after 3 RFEs):

7 months & 5 days

Which makes our journey a total of:

2 years, 3 months, and 8 days

I just came back to this post and never read the replies as I commented first. I was straight forward.. Young Lady, It wouldn't matter being Single or Married and a Child soon. The Criteria is the same. I'm sure you see now pregnancy is not a valid reason as all agree. My reply was not to hurt you and yes.. I should have gave more information as to being married or not and a future child involved. I OPOLOGIZE if I hurt you. My post would have been deleted if I said something hurtful or untrue. I seen comments that agree but seemingly I should have stated more and try and explain. Again, I apologize. USCIS is a Process, to some fast and some slowly and that's why members conflict. Some wait so much longer and others maybe faster. There is no fine-line in that. Good luck to you. It will be fine if you just HANG IN THERE! (LOL.. If I said that to Mav she would say "Whats Hang in there mean?" Tim

Congratulations!

Your fiancè can visit you with a B2 visa and come back to DR for the medical exam and interview of course.

But this is a long shot, though it is possible based on my experience.

Otherwise there is nothing you can do to expedite it unfortunately.

Safe delivery and congrats again.

Now this is what I'm talking about. Great feedback. Informative yet honest..Kudos:-)

"Great Feedback" perhaps yes... but False hopes... For "some" countries or people it works.

But generally speaking it doesn't and here's why...

Speaking as someone who already tried to bring her then Fiance over to "plan our wedding like normal couples" the Consulate in the DR will deny the request...

It sucks but here is the simplest way I can explain it is:

Tourist Visa = "I have NO INTENTION to stay in the US"

K-1, CR-1 Visa, etc. = "I have NO INTENTION TO LEAVE the US"

It's not impossible but in this case and cases like it, it is highly improbable.... you already told them you want to stay.

Read our Personal experience here:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/473521-i-miss-my-wife-do-i-have-the-right-to-visit-please-enter/?p=6736318

And here's what Border Patrol has to say about it:

Travel while K-1 fiance/fiancee visa pending

Can I travel to the U.S. for business or pleasure while my K fiancé/fiancée visa is pending?

You can travel however you may be subject to scrutiny. Travelunder another visa status or the visa waiver program is not advised for K-1 fiancé/fiancée visa applicants prior to the approval of their K visa as they have already indicated their intention is to marry in the U.S. For more information about Nonimmigrant visa for a fiancé (e) K visa visit Travel.state.gov.

~ Jan ??,2013 ~ Service Center ~ Vermont I-129F Packet sent

NOTE: Actual sent date unknown due to lawyer negligence - I delivered ALLForms and PAID Lawyer on Nov 7, 2012 - Lawyer kept saying he sent the packet and USCIS must have lost it. When in reality he failed to send the package and only a new copy to USCIS after I made a legal written demand giving him 10 days to perform or return ALL monies paid to him, due to "non-performance".

(IMO it's better to save your money for visits to or from your Fiancé and just fill it out yourself using the K-1 Guide on VJ and Senior Members... They Rock!!!)

I'm sure you've considered this in some way but I thought I'd throw it out there. I certainly understand wanting your fiance to be there for the delivery but it may be equally or even more important for you to have his support in the first months of life. Depending on how quickly you could get the child a passport, would you be able to spend your maternity leave (or whatever other arrangement you have) in DR with him? Perhaps having a long visit and that sort of support could be enough to get you guys over this hump. Best of luck and congrats!

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. (L)

16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

23 Apr 2016: Wedding! Finally! :luv:

27 Apr 2016: Electronic NOA1 for all 3 :dancing:
29 Apr 2016: NOA1 Hardcopy for all 3
29 Jul 2016: Online service request for late EAD (Day 104)
29 Jul 2016: EAD/AP Approved ~3 hours after online service request
04 Aug 2016: RFE for Green Card (requested medicals/ vaccination record. They already have it). :ranting:
05 Aug 2016: EAD/AP Combo Card arrived! (Day 111)
08 Aug 2016: Congressional constituent request to get guidance on the RFE. Hoping they see they have the form and approve!

K-1 Visa Timeline:

PLEASE NOTE. This timeline was during the period of time when TSC was working on I-129fs and had a huge backlog. The average processing time was 210+ days. This is in no way predictive of your own timeline if you filed during or after April 2015, unless CSC develops a backlog. A backlog is anything above the 5-month goal time listed on USCIS's site

14 Feb 2015: Mailed I-129f to Dallas Lockbox. (L) (Most expensive Valentine's card I've ever sent!)

17 Feb 2015: NOA1 "Received Date"
19 Feb 2015: NOA1 Notice Date
08 Aug 2015: NOA2 email! :luv: (173 days from NOA1)

17 Aug 2015: Sent to NVC

?? Aug 2015: Arrived at NVC

25 Aug 2015: NVC Case # Assigned

31 Aug 2015: Left NVC for Consulate in San Jose

09 Sep 2015: Consulate received :dancing: (32 days from NOA2)

11 Sep 2015: Packet 3 emailed from embassy to me, the petitioner (34 days from NOA2).

18 Sep 2015: Medicals complete

21 Sep 2015: Packet 3 complete, my boss puts a temporary moratorium on all time off due to work emergency :clock:

02 Oct 2015: Work emergency clears up, interview scheduled (soonest available was 5 business days away--Columbus Day was in there)

13 Oct 2015: Interview

13 Oct 2015: VISA APPROVED  (236 days from NOA1)

19 Oct 2015: Visa-in-hand
