UGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHH another month.... 18 days post scan date for checklist of AOS I-864 stupid error in part 3 number 7 and part 6 13a . Please learn from my mistakes .... I called NVC and a very nice phone operator walked me through the errors and fixed them on the phone with me. The biggest and most confusing was IRS tax return section of part 6 13.a and what they want in those boxes if you did not file because you had NO income !

Do you write N/A ...NA..None,leave it blank or 0 ? I had written 0.00 ....wroooooong according to the NVC Queen or King of checklists . I also had previously sent in a letter explaining why I did not have to file those years taxes .I was told to write "None did not file no income" in each box in black ink.

God help me if I get another checklist.

December please be kind too my brothers and sisters here at VJ waiting on checklist reviews and CC......

I (US citizen) am in the middle of the NVC process for my wife. We have already filled DS260 and submitted IV and AOS docs.

My wife is due to give birth in a few weeks. Does anyone know how and when should I update the NVC or the embassy about the birth?

Hi, u need to file expedite online with NVC so that ur case will be a top priority ,If approved , NVC will send ur all documents TO US Embassy near to your living city and will be interviewed at the earliest. If the baby is delivered before interview, just call the US Embassy /consulate near to your living city, they will ask you to fill a birth reporting form,. They will issue you/ your wife a document of the birth which will be helping tool during interview and at the airport , don't forget to request your passport authority to include the name of the baby in your wife's passport. Congratulation in advance for the healthy baby's arrival and good luck to the NVC process. Let's we all pray to have our love one unite to usas soon as possible

I hope this information will work. If you need more information ,I will update for u.

Just to clarify - I live with my wife abroad and we plan to move together to the US. Also, the baby will not be eligible for US citizenship from birth (because I did not spend a sufficient amount of time in the USA) but rather I will apply for citizenship through the "grandfather law". Does this change your advice? Don't I need to update the Affidavit of Support (which was via a joint sponsor) and DS-260 after the baby is born?

Hey all

I have ready Saylin's wiki several times and it says AOS invoice should normally be invoices a week after case number. However myself and a few other have been waiting for AOS invoice and still hasn't come. Does anyone know if they has been a change in the system? Also does everyone get the welcome email or just some people. When I called to get my case number I gave NVC my email and my husbands email as Saylin's advices. I have also filled out the DS260 straight away to. Any response would be helpful. Thank you in advance :)

Got an email from NVC stating that all documentation has been received to process the visa and they will notify when interview has been scheduled. Scan date IV Oct 6th, AOS checklist Oct 9th.

Now I am trying to get them to review an email sent on Nov 4th to change consulate from Paris to Beijing.... :sleepy:

Or I guess my wife has to go to Paris to take her interview...

BTW, the AOS still says PAID at the ceac website and has not changed to N/A.

First of all, Let's assume , you are a USA CITIZEN,then you don't need to change any thing, regardless how long you are living abroad, you know that you are US CITIZEN, and the baby is the child of a US citizen, as soon as the baby entered USA, at the air port of Entry ,papers will be singed for the certificate of USAcitizen and it will be mailed to your given address when ready. For confirmation you can check from the local US Consulate . Take care.

What! No way I as others were told N/A or none was good noting else had to be put. Wondering if they have changed the rules mid stream if so I'm buying a gun and shooting myself. :(

Um...I'm worried as well - Wouldn't my total income be 0.00? As I made no money. This is just flipping me out now. I think I may have a break down if that's the case. However I know there is no streamline in this process as I've talked to a couple of people and they did put 0 in the boxes and passed through the process. Either they are feeding you tons of ####### to keep you on the line or they just don't have a proper process in place...*Feeling very nervous!!* :(

Haha apparently *c*r*a*p* isn't allowed here...please note I did not cuss!
