Hi all

I need help!!!

On October 3 I got a checklist for marriage certificate, and I sent it email in same day. I called last Friday nvc, they said on November 1 there is a new certificate requirement called "Certificate of Non-Conviction" in Jordan. However On November 10 I called nvc and asked about it. They told me it's not required for me because I sent me document before nov1. Until last week, every time I called I was told the only missing was my marriage certificate.

when I asked to speak to superviser she hanged up. THAT'S UNFAIR ???

What can I do?? I don't want to wait another 60 days. I'm lost

Moreover, I have a later from my state senator confirmed that the only thing missing was the marriage certeficate. but it was dated on October 29. So your advice please please

I just called now the rep said they haven't reviewed my case yet.

Any advice if I got a checklist.

Nope. IV fee is dependent on the DS-261 being sent, accepted, and added to the case file.

thank you saylin! My summary page does not have a DS-261 option it only shows the AOS which I paid and shows up as Paid. and the IV application that show up PAY NOW, but it sends me back to the summary page when I click it.

Do you have a lawyer or attorney attached to your case? If you do, then the DS-261 isn't done in your case as the lawyer/attorney is automatically selected as agent (which is the purpose of the form - to select an agent). So, you should see the IV bill being invoiced soon. If you can see the IV bill say 'Pay Now', but you're unable to pay, then it probably hasn't been completely invoiced yet. Just give it some more time.

If you don't have a lawyer/attorney attached to your case, then I'd contact NVC if you can't see the DS-261 on the online forms portal.

We´re waiting for case # as well, NVC receiving date 11/05. :-(

Good luck! NVC received our case on 10/15/14 from Nebraska center and the case # was assigned on 11/7/14.

Thank you very much for your response. that's comforting to know we should be getting billed soon as we do have a lawyer attached to the case. I will continue to wait to pay.....thanks again :-)

I know that I did NOT leave it blank...I typed 0.00 and got check list because according to the first rep I spoke with putting anything even a 0 in the 13 a box means you have a tax return for that year.

I could not believe that so I called and spoke with a second rep who walked me through filling in each error or box because I was about to have a breakdown myself. You know my situation Soloenta and I cannot afford another checklist. We are are on borrowed time as it is.

I am praying that you get your CC soon as well...((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))

To anyone reading this...please dont get nervous over my experience with the reps or the reasons for my checklist....I dont want to add to your misery . NVC checklists just seem to happen at times for no good reason.

Oh ok because I put 0.00 and was NOT check listed for it, I got a check list for not sending a letter explaining why I didn't file taxes which I did send them and stapled everything hahahaa so I know the doofus heads received it.

Aww ty you sweet heart I have 21 days to go to get to the 60 day penalty. :D

Indeed I know how much every second counts for you. God willing this will end your waiting and you get out of this quagmire.

Whoot! Don't forget about me! We'll take them all down with one fall swoop of CC's for us all...they'll think it's the best day because our papers were so easy and quick to complete!!:rofl:

No but seriously - lets hope for all of us a quick and safe (no CC's) rest of journey. Be sure to let us all know once you hear something!!

You could try requesting that NVC closes your case and you'll bring in the police certificate to the interview, but by the time they get to your other checklist response, and if they don't accept your request, it might just be faster to send in the certificate.

Fair point. It's been nearly a week since we found out we had a checklist and we still have no email. Hopefully it'll come sometime today so we can call tonight and clarify.

The annoying thing is that it sounds like the Sydney consulate will accept the name only AFP certificate but the NVC won't? So silly
