Received our case complete via email today. I checked CEAC and the trick about watching it change from Paid to N/A never worked for us. We received our NOA2 in May. So we spent less than 7 months at NVC. Just wanted to give an update. I'll see y'all on Dwheels case complete thread

Congrats!!!

5 months at NVC.

A bit over 2 weeks waiting for a supervisor to review my case.

I'm wondering if I would be waiting the average 42 days...or the big bad 60 after resending document?

Different reps say different things

Scared to call...

Congrats on the recent CC's!

What! No way I as others were told N/A or none was good noting else had to be put. Wondering if they have changed the rules mid stream if so I'm buying a gun and shooting myself. :(

Dear sweet Soloenta...no guns...though I understand the feelings of utter despair and frustration . As we all know from experience that the responses you get can vary from NVC operator to operator . I asked her several times are you sure that this is how it is supposed to be done and she emphatically said yes. She walKed me through each correction that needed to be made .I am really learey of anything being said by anyone on the NVC phones. There does not seem to be any continuity except for the 60 day speel we all get .

I personally know of a couple that wrote NONE in the Tax spaces and just sent in the letter explaining why they did not have to file and they did NOT get checklist .

I think it all depends on who REVIEWS your papers and what they have been taught is acceptable. They are not allowed to make errors and maybe some are super afraid to let even the tiniest details go if they themselves are unsure if NONE is ok . I talked to one operator and he advised that the reason I got A check was because I wrote none in the part 6 13.a box which he said implies that I filed taxes thus the request for the 2013 return...uuuugghhhhh yes it is mind blowing. Who in the heck knows what to do if they all give different advice?

I am just as unsure of whether my AOS will make it through this time...this is the stuff that nightmares are made off.

AOS is $120 per case.

IV is $325 per immigrant.

(i.e. if you have children that are also immigrating as part of your case then it's an additional $325 per person.)

http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/fees-visa-services.html

Thank you so much for clearing that up.

Hey all

I have ready Saylin's wiki several times and it says AOS invoice should normally be invoices a week after case number. However myself and a few other have been waiting for AOS invoice and still hasn't come. Does anyone know if they has been a change in the system? Also does everyone get the welcome email or just some people. When I called to get my case number I gave NVC my email and my husbands email as Saylin's advices. I have also filled out the DS260 straight away to. Any response would be helpful. Thank you in advance :)

Hi, Perhaps I too am sailing in the same boat like you.

I got approved on Sept 20th, but not able to pay any fees yet. Haven't received the invoice. It is nearly 2.5 months!

Though I received Case number on 17th November.

No idea what is taking them so long!

Um...I'm worried as well - Wouldn't my total income be 0.00? As I made no money. This is just flipping me out now. I think I may have a break down if that's the case. However I know there is no streamline in this process as I've talked to a couple of people and they did put 0 in the boxes and passed through the process. Either they are feeding you tons of ####### to keep you on the line or they just don't have a proper process in place...*Feeling very nervous!!* :(

Haha apparently *c*r*a*p* isn't allowed here...please note I did not cuss!

Did you talk to a Rep or Supervisor? I think they don't know what they are talking about because I put 0.00 others 0 or none or even N/A with no checklist. I do know if you put nothing you get a Checklist so I would talk to a supervisor. They gave me a checklist for not sending my parents marriage certificate which I find total BS. I think you'll be fine since I didn't get a checklist for the same thing as your talking about.

Yup thus why I type in c r a p hahahahahaaa silly rules we are all adults. ;) Don't forget to visit the Support thread. t5063.gif
