stupid texas backlogged

I called uscis today and they said it would be another four months from today before i heard anything cause they are backed up til april ugh just venting??

I just looked and the IR-1/CR-1 for TSC is only processing May 18, 2014. Hang in there the wait is horrible I know, I am still waiting too. I hope TSC does speed up soon and we all get our approvals.

I am an August filer as well (08/26), also at Texas.... we'll get there I'm hoping and wishing for the NOA2 as a Christmas/Birthday present (but not holding my breath)

Five months in USCIS is the norm....you have three or four more months left there and that is if you get approved without a problem. Yeah it sucks but it is what it is.....a loooong wait. Then if you are lucky you get sent to NVC and another looooooooooong wait .Nothing about this process is quick. The best thing you can do for yourself is live your life and keep busy doing things that will help you pass the time without dwelling on it.

Good luck...and you would do well to not alienate the people here that have a wealth of knowledge about this process...like Darnell for instance

The man you are pounding has been a HUGE help to many people here on VJ. If you don't need any help then why are you here? I'm sure he won't mind if you put him on ignore. The same for me.

It's a very stressful process, and the stress manifests in different ways. Perhaps a little break from the computer/website might help? Helped me sometimes, as I'd read people's timelines and stories and get frustrated when people were moving quicker than me! It's the not knowing which is worst and the waiting and waiting.... (trust me, I'm only just at the end of a 19 month process!!)

Whoa! All Darnell was only saying is there is a minimum 5 month wait...which has been known to be six or more most of the time. We all understand the painful wait...we all have been there and are currently in our own version the waiting pergatory. You have only been waiting two months, you have at least another four to go if you are lucky. Sit back, chill out or you will drive yourself crazy. If they need something from you, they will let you know. The backlog is everywhere. Snapping at folks on here isn't going to make it go quicker, and our friend Darnell is one of the more learned folks here on VJ. You may need his advise someday...
