We have done the long distance thing many times over the last 5 years but this time (and not having any control) things are the hardest they have ever been and I feel like giving up.

Things have got very strained at the moment (to the point of breakdown) and don't know if we can carry on like this without having any concrete idea when at least the NOA2 might come. I know people are going to say its 6 months but really its impossible to tell where TSC is at currently. Knowing that would give some hope.

We are in the 5th month at TSC, and now i know the Processing times on VJ are pretty much useless who knows where TSC are right now. Does anyone out there have any idea

where TSC are at?

You should feel grateful you are still waiting for over 5 months. Imagine another couples who had to struggle like this: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/521117-approved-refiled-k1-stokes-5-year-journey-over/

I am not trying to make you feel bad. But at least in five years of relationship I believe you have already met your fiance(e) many times. Imagine those who can't have the privilege to visit the US. Just like my husband and I only have met once because I got refused for a tourist visa and was very difficult for my husband to get permission to travel for security reason since he's serving in the military. We had been in five-year-relationship as well before my husband filed I-129F for me.

We had to wait 7 months for our NOA2 and it was awful, some people have a lot worse deal than that. The not knowing was the worst thing but as soon as we got our NOA2 it was like a lead weight was lifted off us. Hang in there and when your approval comes this'll all seem like a bad dream!

Are you not able to see each other? I know it is expensive, but visiting each other every 3 months or so would help the process and keep the relationship fresh in my opinion. If you don't have the funds, I suggest borrowing money from someone or taking out a small, low-interest loan to finance the trip. It would be money well spent.

We have been in a relationship for close to 8 years now. When we finally decided to do the immigration process back in 2011, we did the K1 and were denied. We were devastated and tried again as married, 2 years later my spouse was able to come with a spouse visa.

Long distance relationships aren't easy at all, and anyone who says they are is lying. Plus the US government makes it much more difficult than it has to be so I completely understand your frustration.

But you have to remember that relationships involve commitment and sacrifice, if you're not willing to do that for each other then you both have to make that decision now and save yourselves the heartbreak. Good luck and I hope you work things out.

jesus christ. sorry man. why were you denied in the first place? i am afraid of a denial; however, I wonder if your case had any issues that made them take that unfortunate decision.

To the OP, you are near the finish line. Don't give up as you are almost finished.

This is not an easy process, I remember feeling helpless at every stage and exited at the end of each stage. You feel like a yoyo...up and down. The process consumes your every day life, you sleep thinking about it and wake up thinking about it...it can break you if you let it. Everyone has a different way of managing stress, some join a Gym, or a cooking class, or take a new hobby or other things but you must find a way to get through it. I know it's hard but you see it can be done. We have all been there and survived and so WILL YOU. Good Luck!

Plan on 10 months and then you'll be overjoyed when it comes sooner.

You are so close to an approval and 2 or 3 more months won't make a difference in a lifetime together.

Visit, get involved in volunteer work or go to the gym, be active and keep yourself busy.

The NOA2 will come. Hang in there.

We grow as a person when we realize and accept that we can't control everything.

Our first petition at CSC was 5 1/2 month and then 16 month in AP with a refusal at the end. Our second petition took 58 days, then

2 months wrong embassy drama and more delays at the right embassy. It is what it is and though it is very hard you have to stop

letting it drive you crazy. Seriously, another couple months is not that bad. Like a previous poster said, expect it to be longer and

be happy when it comes sooner.

Wishing you peace !

Don't worry you didn't make me feel bad. Yes of course there is always someone worse off than yourself, that's always true. And i do remember that, but it doesn't help all the time when there are other factors involved.

We have lived together outside the US (in various places) during the last 5 years so we are lucky to have spent that time together, which makes it worse now in some ways.

I saw stokes story the other day, now that is perseverance!

Thank you to everyone for your support. This site is so helpful (apart from processing times, but that's complicated).

I of course wish everyone luck during this process!

will you give up on the marriage so easily as well? If I were you fiance I wouldn't be very happy if the person who is supposed to love me the most is ready to give up on me because of a little waiting. Are you in high school or are you an adult?
