Most of you probably already are but for those still waiting, be sure to check uscis.gov for status. Even though I signed up for email and text notifications I never got them.

Timeline (yyyy-mm-dd)

  • 2014-09-04: I-129F received by USCIS
  • 2014-09-08: Received NOA1 notification via email
  • 2015-04-16: uscis.gov status updated to approved! (219 days since NOA1)
  • 2015-04-20: Received I-797 NOA2 in mail (Notice date 2015-04-16)
  • 2015-04-29: USCIS sends application to NVC
  • 2015-05-07: NVC receives packet
  • 2015-05-13: Package left NVC for consulate
  • 2015-05-18: Consulate receives package

Sigh. A new week is upon us.

Good luck, everyone. I have a twisty belly just thinking about it. Here's to hoping TSC has a productive week.

And yes, I realize that "TSC" and "productive" don't belong in the same sentence. :sleepy:

[ Spring 2005 ] Met online, in-game (WoW)

[ February 2012 ] Finally admitted our true feelings after years of staying hush hush!

[ March 22, 2012 ] Made things official!

[ April 13, 2012 ] Met for the first time in real life and fell in love!

[ July 8, 2014 ] Got engaged!

[ September 10, 2014 ] Filled out paper work

[ September 19, 2014 ] Receipt Date

[ September 23, 2014 ] NOA1

And after 246 hellish days (8+ months) of being trapped in TSC purgatory....

221 and counting. About 20 people asked me at church yesterday if we had any word on the visa yet. I've been able to tell them no for months. Here's hoping it's a yes next week!

11/14/17 I-751 Package mailed (Vermont)

5/11/15 NOA2 (8:30 pm text, 238 days since NOA1)

6/09/15 Consulate Received (had to call embassy to check)

6/18/15 Packet Completed (had to call/visit embassy to schedule interview)
7/09/15 Interview Completed- APPROVED!! (after delay for US system errors, and rescheduling/postponing 3 times)

7/16/15 Visa In Hand (told to "come back tomorrow" first two times they said it would be ready)

7/18/15 POE Washington, D.C.

8/1/15 Legally Married
8/13/15 Filed for AOJ (also EAD and Travel)

8/20/15 NOA1 for all 3 filings

9/08/15 Bio Appt

9/26/15 Wedding Ceremony!

10/16/15 EAD and AP Approved

10/23/15 EAD Card Received

11/23/15 AOS Approved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (no interview, no warning- completely unexpected, but so exciting)

I hate to be petty but I want to scream at all the after March 27th filers at CSC and say you're approved because of OUR efforts OUR long, hours, OUR phone calls!!!!!!! Ughhhhhhhhhhh Even John is getting frustrated now. It's so hard to see someone else from Ireland approved in 20 some days......and I can't even imagine 224.

I wouldn't make the assumption that the changes that were made were due to any of our efforts. If they *did* help, then why do you want recognition for it? That's pretty selfish. It's not their "fault" that they are being processed how we all should have been. I'm nothing but happy for them and glad that don't have to go through what we did, or even think about it.

What's wrong with someone wanting credit for the work they've done, or by your standards think they've done?

pfrederiksen: I think it's pretty obvious based on the letter on behalf of the President, that the efforts did indeed do something. Not many people like to give the President credit for anything these days, but it's clear the USCIS only moves their butt when he lights a fire under it or at the very slightest does some mild prodding.

Well as we have a letter from USCIS and the President stating that we had a part in it, yep NOT AN ASSUMPTION. As for recognition don't care just want to complain. I'm happy for them too and pissed for us. Why do you ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS annoy me?
