Just a heads up that might be useful to some of you. My I-601 was approved on September 8. I'm outside of the US but my son in Florida got the approval by mail yesterday, a few days behind because of

On june 24th it has been 14months exactly for the 601 and still nothing. the 212 is another 10 more days before it hits the 14month mark. Its so cruel and unfair to be punished like this due to a stup

Fraud to visit on a tourist visa? No. She cannot come on a tourist visa to stay permanently with you, but it's absolutely fine to visit you and return home. Then you can start the K-1 visa process so she can come and stay.

Why do they make it so difficult for two people to be together that want to be together, and marry? I just don't get it. 

Using a tourist visa to enter the US with the intent to immigrate is fraud.

 

They make it difficult because of marriage fraud for a green card.  

If you don't go to see her, then you got zero chances of a successful K-1.  It's highly unlikely that she will get a tourist visa.

We married, and she was allowed to stay here, because she was my wife. Has things changed?

She cannot enter on a tourist visa with intent to stay/adjust status. That's where it is fraud. If she gets a tourist visa, she must use it for visits or else face being denied entry, possibly an expedited deportation (they do this at POE now), or a misrepresentation bar.

Because it's illegal to use a non-immigrant tourist visa to enter the US with the intent to immigrate.  

 

Preconceived intent is not considered when an Immediate Relative of a US adjusts status, this is why your exwife was allowed to adjust when she was already in the US. 

What you are considering is visa fraud since your fiancee is not in the US.

 

If you continue down this line, the Mods on VJ will shut you down since it's a violation of the TOS on VJ to ask for help to commit fraud.
