  1. Hi, has as anyone gotten a I601 waiver approved. What’s your timeline? No I601a’s please.
  2. Hello everyone! It seems like there isn't a May 2018 I-130 thread for U.S. Citizens applying for parents through consular processing. I will be sending mom's application 5/24/18, right after I leave my Naturalization Ceremony everything is ready to go, just waiting on that certificate! From what I have been reading from last year threads, the whole process is taking around a year, give or take. I-130 approval seems to be around 6-8 months (it can be more or less, of course). Please share your input! Hope to talk to you all soon! Good luck to all of us!
  3. There really isn't a current thread for progress updates for the I-601 waivers. I wanted to start a thread where everyone can just post their progress. If everyone could create a timeline and put it in their signature it would really be helpful. It doesn't matter when you filed. Any reported progress really helps everyone along the journey !!
  4. Hi everyone.. we sent our package in late July so I am expecting our NOA1 sometime in Aug...
  5. We filed for my husband in October 2017. I received the I-797 receipt but the case number does not show in the system. It has been 3 months now. Has anyone else had this issue? I am estimating (by everyone else's approval date) that I will have to wait until June or so for approval. How often do they update the BCIS website for processing dates? It hasn't been updated since October 31.
  6. Good Morning! Question on my situation, I sent out my I-130 about 2 weeks before my sister August 31, 2017 and she as already received her NOA 2 stating they have accepted her case about 2 weeks ago. Both of our husbands are from Dominican Republic. The only difference is she has a step son involved and that case was accepted as well. I am still waiting, should I be concerned? We are both at the Nebraska location. Thanks, Ashley
  7. Good afternoon guys... This was something I had been running away from, but finally between yesterday and today I have already prepared it, and I have to really say that I only need 2 documents to ask my country: Cuba. And the documents of my wife's AOS that we will request once the NOA2 arrives, I made a complete guide of the steps to follow in the NVC stage and the cover letters of AOS and package IV are already advanced. date and my case number once assigned. At the same time, the document that is ready, birth certificate, is scanned and waiting, the photocopy of the biographical page of the passport is scanned and waiting, and the questions that required memory for the DS-260 are also answered. I did a spoon-based guide for myself based and adjusted to my case, and I have learned a lot of things in these 2 days! It is my advice to those people whose NOA2 is eventually close, my PD is August 24. Greetings to all.Jhonny.
  8. New to this website! i find it quite confusing not going to lie ANYWAYS! Here's my "story" So i met my husband overseas, i tried to get a tourist visa but got it denied We're married now and im an italian/colombian citizen and came to Colombia to be closer to him since he got transferred to San Diego ..my husband is in the US navy and currently deployed since October '17..he filed a I-130 a couple of days before leaving and we have a lawyer helping us with the process and asked to expedite our case, with many months apart the least we would like is me being in port waiting for my husband. Now i obviously got the receipt 2 weeks after the forms were sent and my husband being so impatient constantly messages our lawyer if theres anything we can do to speed up the process. I'm a big traveller and know visas take a long time and work .. On the USICS processing time page i find it so confusing to understand whats going on..Our lawyer sent our application to Texas Service Center but the receipt is from Nebraska Service Center OCTOBER FILERS...do you have any idea when we could be hearing from immigration? also is there really any different treatment for military? This process is a roller coaster i just can't wait to get off
  9. In case you are interested. I-130 Petition Statistics were released about a week ago. This data shown below is for Immediate Relative (IR) only A few key points Petitions received in 3rd Quarter seem to show a return to normal levels, after an increase coincidentally around the US election Texas is starting to process are greater portion petitions. I-130 approvals are trending upwards, but still remain depressed compared to 2015 The backload of pending petitions petitions may be evening out, but is high compared to historical trend.
  10. We filed my fiance's I-601 in Oct, 2017. I know it's going to be a long time before it's processed and we even hear if we need an RFE. We need to send in additional paperwork. We already know that it's going to be asked for eventually. What address would we use? The Phoenix Lockbox that we sent the original application into? The address on the bottom of our Receipt? Do we have to just wait for the RFE? It seems better to send it now and avoid the whole RFE addition of time to the process so we'd rather not wait on the RFE if possible.
