They likely were both living out of country together.

I wonder how many people "pretend" to do that just to get the auto-expedite? Sounds illegal to me though.

Finally able to log into CEAC today! Filled out DS-261 and there's a box that says I can pay IV fee now, but when I click it it's all grayed out and I can't do anything. Is this normal?

Yes. :)

It will take quite some time for your IV bill to be available. Keep and eye on the AOS bill though.

Hi everyone, it's been a while since I've been on here. Apologies I tried to catch up but with 71 pages it just isn't possible. I've made a few observations/additions though:

60 day email, I received mine on Monday making reference to the docs they received Jun12th. These are the IV docs which were delivered on the 12th but scanned on 17th. My first thought is, they do make note of when they were delivered, hmmmm, funny how they never mention this date on the phone

Soooooo, my docs which were scanned June 17 were reviewed and approved on Aug 1st! Woooooo hooooo. this is the IV docs if anyone is interested. Still waiting on AOS review, it was scanned July 9th. I see someone from scan date July 18th was approved but consensus seems to be attorneys push things along faster, so I just wait and see.

Congrats to all Aug CC's, and good luck everyone. I'm going to try and be more proactive again, but I really needed some time out from it all and it's done me the world of good.

Assuming the June 17th "60 days" scan date is complete tosh since NVC insist our DS-261 scan date is June 2nd, today is our 45th business day of waiting for the IV invoice. No response from congresswoman and my husband is hesitant to contact his senators because he's convinced we need to wait 60 business days from June 17th now

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

Try and find your local Republican Senate campaign to work on. Work the phones and knock on doors, get out the vote. I learned a lot working for OFA (Obama's campaign) in 2012, GOTV (Get Out the Vote) is really important. The Republicans are pretty much guaranteed to keep the House, it's the Senate that's up for grabs. Help the Republicans win the Senate and you'll be helping to ruin the last 2 years of His Majesty's Presidency.

I'm not a republican, but... if that'll keep you busy and stay away from negative thoughts, I think it's good for you! :star:

Expedite request denied today. I was really hoping to get lucky with that... guess not. Just a few short months ago I thought we may be able to squeeze in an August interview. Now we'll be extremely lucky to get one in October. I never thought we would reach our immiversary before the interview, but it looks very likely at this point. How depressing.

Hi everyone, I paid the AOS fee on August 4th and I`m trying to complete both packages and send them together!

I've heard that on one of the packages I have to write DR on the envelope. What does mean? Which package should I write on? Is it better choice if I sent them together in separate envelopes and put copy of the bar coded cover sheet on each? What do you recommend?
Thank you for the help!
Good luck for everyone! :)

I'm wanting to continue flogging a deceased equine here ... Please share opinions and stories about submitting the IV package before it was invoiced.

Can we really send that package in, change the AoS cover sheet so that it goes to the right place?

Is there any other benchmark we should wait for before sending it?

Using this practice people could possibly shave 60+ days off the wait time by sending in the civil docs a full 60 days earlier.

Ideas? Thoughts? Suggestions??

we paid aos bill last july9 and sent the aos package as soon as the bar coded sheet was available online. question is should we send the iv package now even if we haven't paid for it yet since there is no invoice, or should we first wait to pay iv fee, have the bar coded sheet printed and sent with documents? thanks for your kind reply

Here is some data for you. Member LRKO (who is out of the country and has no internet access for 3 weeks) sent in her IV package before receiving her IV fee invoice. Here is her timeline:

NVC

04/04/2014: NVC received case

05/05/2014: Case number assigned with IIN/BIN

05/09/2014: Completed D-261

05/10/2014: Paid AOS invoice online through IE

05/13/2014: Mailed AOS packet and fee shows paid thru bank

05/19/2014: NVC stated they received AOS packet

05/28/2014: Accidentally reset D-261 submit date

06/05/2014: Tracking showing IV package delivered today (not scanned)

06/09/2014: Scanned IV package into NVC mailroom

06/18/2014: AOS accepted

07/10/2014: 31 Business days post DS261 - Supervisor to review

07/14/2014: After 33 BUSINESS days, PAID IV INVOICE!!!

07/15/2014: Completed DS260 - Thank the Lord

Well, I did some research, and if her dates in here are correct, there is a 0% chance that her case has been approved and interview assigned. There's a chance that her case has been approved and not at the embassy yet, but I don't have any way of verifying that.

If you have multiple certified copies of your Civil Docs, go ahead and send the IV package in early. If they lose your stuff, you can just send in another package. But just know that you'll still have to wait to fill in the DS-260, wait for that to be reviewed, and you risk them losing your stuff and potentially delaying your case with supervisor reviews, erroneous mail popping up in your case, etc.

I am expecting a checklist for IV civil documents. I have not sent the original birth certificate. My bad. Called NVC, then the operator said either original or a certified copy and said also, better wait to see untill the docs are reviewed. The NVC site says originbal document, but the operator says either original or certifiled one. Which one I should beleive? Do I need to really send the original/certified now or wait till they review it?

Appreciate for all the answers.

Kutty

I sent it on 31st July with AOS coversheet and is scanned today

If you did not send either the Original or a Certified copy, I would suggest sending one of those ASAP. You do not have to wait for a checklist in order to send in the correct document.

Question below is my current status, DS-261 shows Completed and AOS shows as PAID, and I've sent the documents in and they should arrive at NVC Wed @ 10:30 AM according to FedEx.

My question is how long would it take for the next IV Fee to be payable? Do they scan my AOS Documents first? Because I quickly want to fill out the DS-260 - I made sample PDF copies and filled in with my wife over Skype so when its available I just plug in. :)

It's really annoying just received an e-mail from NVC with a Check List. I called, nice guy didn't catch his name since I was nervous and rarely call. I asked him what's this, he said we have your IV documents, DUH, they are in review. I asked, you mean they scanned them or they are actually being looked at, he said being looked at. I said I thought if I received a false check list it's because they were accepted, he said no. Me confused but happy they are looking at them, hope they aren't just looking at the folder sitting on their desk. Many ways of interpreting things. :D

That's all she wrote!

Dear, your signature and timeline says you sent the AOS package on June 10th. It took them over a month to scan your AOS package in? :huh2:

And you put DS-260 twice. I just need when your IV package was scanned. The only DS-260 date I need is when you submitted the form, which I took already from your signature.

Me and my husband, we are always thankful and greatful to Saylin for this thread and her wonderful contributions. It's pretty obvious if it's not Armenia when they have another country listed on their profile :P So, if I ever see Armenia listed as the country on the profile page, I might say that's a good chance that person is actually from there. But, now that you mention it, I'm not sure if I've ever truly seen someone from Armenia!

probably referring to me .

The problem is you're (form) spreadsheet

First off when i tried to fill out the spreadsheet it automatically had Armenia on the form even though it was in Greek and i could not change it .

Still the form show's Armenia even though my timeline say's Athens Greece. So there is something wrong with you're form.

probably referring to me .

The problem is you're (form) spreadsheet

First off when i tried to fill out the spreadsheet it automatically had Armenia on the form even though it was in Greek and i could not change it .

Still the form show's Armenia even though my timeline say's Athens Greece. So there is something wrong with you're form.

I actually wasn't referring to anyone specific and have absolutely no idea what you're talking about  The reason I didn't add you has nothing to do with Armenia since your timeline doesn't even indicate Armenia.
