Welcome to another monthly thread for those going through NVC! (Hopefully it's the last thread for some of you people )

Before posting questions, please read the wiki I wrote on the NVC process here. Once you're done, read it one or two more times to really understand it Don't forget to also read the official form instructions as well as USCIS and NVC's websites!

For up to date time frames, you can view my spreadsheet here. If you would like to be added (or have your entry updated), then please fill out the form here (please read the instructions at the top carefully, especially the update part as people aren't filling the form out correctly [they're filling out information not needed]). And before submitting the form, please make sure the consulate on your timeline isn't the default Armenia. I will NOT add/update you if it is. Also make sure your timeline is completely filled out up to the point where you are.

I will be much less active in answering posts in these monthly threads, so don't bother asking me questions directly and please don't send me PMs with questions. If you send me a PM with a question that can be posted here, I will NOT reply. Just post them here for everyone to see and someone will come along to answer. Remember to be patient (re: just post once and wait)

And if for whatever reason, you can't find the answer, try searching both on this website and on Google. It's amazing what you can find if you search

If you're wondering about time frames, I've got a spreadsheet available for a reason And if that doesn't help, look at the fellow members right here in this thread! Study their signatures/timelines and make notes. VJ also has this awesome page. Use it! I sure did during my process

And once you've got a case complete, please join Dwheels's case complete/interview thread (currently September), here.

Something new!! So, if you followed last month's thread, you'd know there's a new spreadsheet layout (more detailed) and thus new request form I put together. Since time frames have gone considerably up for each step in the process over the last couple of months, I thought it'd be handy to create more columns to track all these steps. Please, please, please read this paragraph carefully before filling out the request form. Do NOT fill it out if you do not plan on staying on top of your case. Some of the dates require you to call NVC and find things out as soon as possible. If you are not going to do this, do NOT bother to fill my form out. This spreadsheet isn't for those that just want to get on my spreadsheet. It's for those that want to help in calculating average time frames for each step. This includes having the correct consulate listed in your timeline (not Armenia!) and having your timeline completely up to date. I'll still keep the "lighter" version available until the end of the year (or sooner, depending how things go). Also, please take the time to fill out my form carefully. Pretend it's one of the immigration forms Because this time around, I will be issuing my own sort of checklist to people who incorrectly fill my form out. Trust me, you don't want to get one So, to summarize, only fill out the new request form if you're serious. All others need not apply. This new spreadsheet layout can still be found on the same link as the old one, it's just the second tab on the bottom, labelled 'New 2014'. If you are on the old layout (whether you have a case complete or not), you can still transfer to the new one if you wish. Just fill out the form and choose 'Add'. I'll happily switch you over. Just make sure to fill out all the new dates! Now, for what some of you have been waiting for, the link to my new request form can be found here.

Hey Saylin, checking in. We are very happy today as our case was completed at NVC this morning. A big and special thank you to you.

I think we'd be moving to interview thread but keep checking in to report progress.

Hilarious, I was sitting there at work, staying late just to wait for the new thread. And then I realized just how dismal that was, so I headed home, only to be thwarted by Saylin. I've always had a strict NO VJ at home policy until now, I just couldn't resist.

Oh well, last month the thread had at least a dozen pages before I was able to start stalking it.

Ahhhhh the little joys that have become part of my life thanks to the NVC.

Congrats to the case complete! Sorry I didn't congratulate earlier. Glad to have helped though Hopefully you get an interview date assigned swiftly.

They went from PC to Apple IOS . I bet you they didn't even update from Windows XP to Windows 7 or higher! I bet they were still on windows XP until they updated their "new system". I know the government in the UK paid Microsoft £500 million to keep servicing updates with XP because they didn't upgrade their systems.

That was totally my first thought. "Ugghhhhh, they were definitely still on XP...."

"For my AOS, all I sent was my employment verification letter, no pay stubs because mine are formatted really strangely. AOS was approved, no checklist, no problem. I would suggest just sending your employment verification letter so as not to confuse the *special* NVC doc reviewers. They can't handle much beyond 1+1=2. Or is it 6... they're never quite sure. "

Thank you for your reply. If you don't mind me asking, did you fill I864 or I864EZ and did you write N/A in the columns that were not applicable? I am debating between I864 and I864EZ, EZ seems simpler but I have noticed there are lot of checlists have been generated for EZ form.

I filled in the I-864 and did not write N/A, I left blanks. I think you got some answers already that cleared it up for you.

Me too. Makes me a little ill adding this thread to my favorites. And I might have a 6th as well. Only time will tell.
