NVC Filers - May 2014

How long does NVC keep your file active there from when they receive your case? Like, how long do you have to send in all the paperwork? I MAY try to delay the NVC process by not sending in the IV docs right away, but I don't want to deactivate my case or anything. This has do with a work contract issue where I may return to my husband's country for awhile.

Sweet heart why? Do you realize how long it will take us to just get an interview then most likely AP for, God knows how many months. You don't need to delay a thing just send them in. You'll have months to wait and wait and wait. If your very lucky you might get an interview in maybe four months most likely 8 and then the AP. Send it in. Just saying, since I don't know the circumstances I might be totally wrong.

I would call and email at the same time. The call will get you immediate answer and the email will get you an answer in writing 3-4 weeks from now.

Your brilliant, I agree e-mail get it in writing. You never know you might need it.

Bangkok Embassy about change in interview date. The tears have finally stopped falling

as I am now with my family after over a year apart. I was walking down the street

and holding my wife's hand very tight and I realized something was very different.

I printed the extension from the IRS website. and that what I used

I got a checklist after they completed my case. I was told that I have to submit 2013 tax form, but my cosigner won't do her tax form until September. So where did you print out the extension proof from IRS website. She already did her extension, but i'm not sure she keeps the extension proof or not I'm so worry now

If she filed for an extension, the form should be on the IRS website, just like the tax transcrpits. You will find it under year 2013. Good luck

Hi friends, I got a mail from NVC for received AOS fee and submitting the AOS documents. But we already sent AOS and it was delivered on 21st May. Can we consider is this a check list??

Imp: We did not write case number on right up corner of all AOS documents. will it cause any major issue??

my accountant sent my extension on the 2nd of April and it was ready on the IRS website by the end of the month.

When exactly did she file for the extension?

Can you please include the wording of the checklist on your post? it sounds to be "fake", but we would have a better idea if we take a look at it,

When did you send your IV docs? it could mean that they reviewed and accepted your IV docs
