As far as I know, they got denied due to some past criminal issues (on the beneficiary's part). The beneficiary (a Canadian by the way, trying to enter on a K1 visa) said they disclosed it at the embassy, so they knew about it, but the border officer claimed otherwise. So, he ended up getting married to the petitioner and then they filed for an IR-1/CR-1 visa. I believe they were put into AP after the interview, but not sure of the outcome as this was a couple of years ago.

To me, it just sounds like the border officer was a ####### and on a power trip, but obviously, we may not know the whole story.

I feel the same way and when they approve you at the Embassy they can still after you pay the plane ticket say well you have to go back. #######!

EUGH i find that so scary!!!!!

Could someone help me with this please? On the AOS form for "Household Size" I can't seem to type in a "1" for myself on the PDF. Did this happen to anyone else? I DO count myself as part of my household size, correct?

This is what it says on the side of the DS-260:

Help: Travel Documentation

Enter the information on the travel document you will be using when traveling to the U.S. Your travel document should be a valid, unexpired passport or other valid, unexpired documentation that is sufficient to establish your identity and nationality.

So I would say yes, enter the beneficiary's passport number, the issued and expiration date of that document.

There should already be a 1 in the box for yourself. Make sure you aren't counting yourself twice. Good luck!

I replied to the NVC ATTORNEY Checklist reminder just to see what happens; I just told them I already responded and the birth certificate is already here. Delivered May 6, 2014. and this is the auto response I received.. So I guess we can email back !!

There is no scheduling in mexico. You just show up to the clinic a couple of days before your interview. They give you your results the same or next day latest.

I don't really care. Its not a big deal... The birth cert is already there anyway. My lawyer forwarded the email he received ( same as the one I received) only saying "FYI, I received this today" Nothing more... too funny.

I replied saying I already took care of it, just waiting for case complete

I printed out Saylin's Wiki and I will show it to him tomorrow night ay my waiver appointment. I also plan on explaining that I paid $3300 so far. I expect the office to do something to earn that money like phone calls or answering my questions and emails ( no that I abused either of those) I did everything .. I just need to watch my mouth. When I am angry I tend to run my mouth ( no kidding, right?)

We were on hold for 4 mins (record breaker) my checklist was received on 04/23 idk when it was scanned and the operator said it's still being reviewed. My husband had to ask her though. All she said at first is they are waiting for the response of the checklist n that's when he said we already sent it n she checked sometbing n said okay we waiting for it to be reviewed... Let me know if urz gets accepted I'll be right behind u

I'll let you know as soon as I know anything. I probably won't call until Friday night if I can help it.. Wow 4 minutes! I've never been on hold for less than 20 minutes x_x
