Hello everyone,

I just got concerned lately about this.

I've been knowing and talking with my fiancee for like one year. We only met one time in person. Now we are preparing for the wedding and I am waiting for the interview date.

Anyone got approved even though you have only met once with your fiance(e)?

Any advice and recommendation or sharing experience?

Thanks and good luck for everyone.

My first K1 visa I had met my fiance only once and it was not a problem. Just be sure to provide proof of an ongoing relationship. Include pictures of your meeting, what you did, etc. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Your only required to meet once within 2 years of filing for your visa. Good luck.

Thank you so much, I was a bit paranoid because I am originally from Syria and I am scared they will pick up on me and cause me troubles because of that. I have everything documented in details and tons of proofs and daily chat and video chat. Thank you so much and sure If I have any question I will be in touch.

Good luck with your marriage and AOS process :)

We only met once in 2011 since we have started dating back in 2008 and filed petition in 2013. But we talked on Skype for almost many hours everyday. My fiancé and I did not front-loading our I-129F and got approved in 38 days.

My fiancé came to my K-1 visa interview and when the consular officer asked me when the last time I met my fiancé and I then told him that he is waiting now outside the room he suddenly stopped asking me more questions and my K-1 visa was approved. Even though Indonesia is not one of high fraud countries but I felt good when my fiancé next to me waiting for the interview. My suggestion is, if you can, bring your fiancé to the interview. Good luck!

A lot has changed in Abu Dhabi in the last year. Just keep in mind you are dealing with a MENA country, and it is not a good look.

We did. Our petition was approved in less than 2 months. I submitted skype log, emails, photos, chat logs, picture I took when we talked on skype, etc.

We were approved too. Met once, I took a month long vacation here in the Philippines, and sent like, 8 pics, a few from Manila, couple from Davao, boarding pass stubs, etc. And we put the packet together here together too.

Real relationship, good evidence, no worries. :)
