Hello everyone. I have a quick question. I have applied for my wife form I 130. I am at the NVC stage. I hsve paid the AOS fees as well as the visa fees. I am planing to complete the online form ds 260. I have to send the AOS form. I also have to mail them the civil documents. The question I have is can I send both the completed AOS form and civil documents in 1 envelop or do they have to be sent in diff envelops ???

• Note: the two packages (AOS and IV) can either be mailed separately or together. Either one works. Again, as long as NVC receives it, that's all that matters. If you do decide to mail them together, I suggest putting each in a separate manila envelope (and clearly mark it and write "AOS" or "IV" on each one), then putting both manila envelopes inside the shipping envelope.

Folks, just a friendly reminder: please READ stuff (NVC Process wiki, EP wiki [if doing EP], official form instructions, USCIS/NVC websites).

Although I'm not answering questions anymore, I'm still reading all the posts in my inbox and I've seen quite a few questions that can be answered if you simply read what's available.

And if for whatever reason, you can't find the answer, try searching both on this website and on Google. It's amazing what you could find if you search

And if you're wondering about time frames, I've got a spreadsheet available for a reason And if you're trying to look at a time tick not on it (such as bills being invoiced), look at the fellow members right here in this thread! This is by far the most nerve-wrecking part for me now. NVC logged the IV docs in on April 11. Anxiously waiting for a Checklist for the PCC and a case complete. Does the Checklist come first in email, or do they just complete the case and find out when you get the CC email? I just hope that it finishes soon enough for a June Interview. Been waiting over a year since we first filed and now it's just becoming ridiculous.

Congrats to everyone who has received CC. I hope you all get June interviews.

OOO I like this question. Can I add on to this question? If you call NVC will they be able to tell if it's a false checklist and tell us case complete?

grrr, no further progress with us today- ARG so frustratiing!!

Here is what hubby said about our needed court records from our NVC checklist:

The office I emailed, called me and said they had nothing and they couldn't do a letter to that effect as the court may have something, even though I then said to him that the court had told me to
write to that office!
So I called the court again and got a not very helpful woman who said what I had already should be enough even though I said it wasn't!
So I emailed the court office like I did on Friday explaining the situtation and will call them back tomorrow.

Any advice Saylin? Sorry to ask you when you are at work.

I called NVC today and talked to... Guess who? Mrs Joy.

I think she is a changed woman: Now she sounds very nice on the phone and very pleasant.

I'm wondering, may be someone from VJ told her about this thread and how she was ranked, hmmmmmmmmmm getting paranoid now? do we have an NVC spy amongst us?????

Hi VJers! I am a newbie here and I need your help please! I got off the phone with NVC just now and I will be receiving a checklist soon. My question is this, can I just send the docs with the original AOS coverletter or do I need to wait for the email?
