Keep in mind, that was back in 2011. Montreal wasn't used to the online system, thus asking everyone for DS-230s. But, after a few months, they finally got it together and are no longer requiring that. It's still of course a good idea to have, but I highly doubt you'll be asked for it, no matter what "version" of the DS-260 you get.

I know, the thing is HUGE. When I was browsing on Amazon, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it. It's basically two cat trees in one!

And yes, knowing my luck, I'd spend all that money on the tree and the cat will just curl up in the box or a corner But alas, I don't have to concern myself with that as that cat tree is way too expensive for me. I'll be choosing one much cheaper

It was specific as to what was needed. But the one i got today just look fake,,,

Has anyone within VJ had this before?

This is a REAL checklist. You need to correct the items listed and send them a new I-864.

If you already did this and now received one that just has the top part and no specific items, then yes that is likely a fake. Call Monday and inquire if you're worried.

To everyone that is getting the "shorter version" of the DS-260 with no prior education and employment sections. Might I suggest that you download the form DS-230, complete and print it out for the interview. I read in Saylin's blog that she completed a DS-230 and they asked for it at the interview.

Saylin also had her interview in like 2011 when the DS-260 was first introduced. LOL It was only required by like 11 countries until 2013.

I only found this site after 6 months of waiting at USCIS. I was searching for some kind of answer why I was waiting so long when I stumbled upon VJ. I was so nervous to post anything because I don't do facebook or twitter or any of those kinds of things but you were the one who answered my first post! I have learned so much about this process and many other things from you. (and Kaylara too) Thanks for being there for me and so many other members!
