Posting my question here, as I assume March thread will be closed soon. :)

NVC said we would have to wait for DS260 to be completed and accepted before we can ask for the police report. Has anyone heard this before? My husband just called the registry here and they said they can give it (the police record) to him without an official request. But, information can be really unreliable in this country. (US embassy told me to call back tomorrow as the immigrant visa people evidently only work from 9am-11am. I want that job)

Any thoughts?

That was not the case with us. We got ours back in Feb and just sent in our DS-260. I guess it would depend on how long yours is valid for.

HI

I just wanted to post on the new thread :)

Is it about a week for bills paid to be seen as PAID rather than pending? That bit is not on Saylins spreadsheet.

It really varies from case to case. For some people it takes a couple of days, and for some a bit more. it took approximately 12 days for my AOS fees to appear as PAID

Hey guys just wanted to share an email I received today from NVC regarding my AOS packet that I emailed in:

You recently sent us an email with attached files. One or more of those files was either encrypted or password protected. Please resubmit your attachments without encryption or password protection so we may complete our review.

I know that I did not password protect my attachments but I did send in 3 JPEG's on accident in my first two AOS packets (I sent it a total of 4 times) so I am assuming this is what they send out when you dont follow the instructions and only email in PDF's. Just wanted to share in case anyone else runs into this. I am sure since they are processing my March 13-14 email with JPEG's they will soon open my March 17th email with all PDF's.

It is interesting that they did not send this to me in regards to my original March 6th submission which also contained JPEG's. Instead they sent me the usual "wait 20 days" email.

USCIS

April 9, 2013: NOA 1

Nov. 18: Transferred to Texas

Dec 9: NOA 2

Dec 17: NOA 2 Hard Copy

NVC

Jan 17, 2014: Case received by NVC

Feb. 25: NVC Case# Received

Feb 28: DS-261 Submitted

March 3: AOS Bill Invoiced & Paid

March 6: AOS Bill showing paid

March 6: AOS Packet sent EP (I did not know at the time but 3 attachments were JPEG's, only PDF's are accepted)

March 12: EP enrollment confirmation received

March 13: Resent AOS packet email as I am confused if they received original since EP enrollment confirmation was received by me after AOS was sent.

March 14: Resent AOS packet as I realized previous two packets had JPEG's in them. This is my first correct packet with all PDF's.

March 17: Resent AOS packet for the 4th time with all PDF's and finally got a confirmation of receipt. This one was the only one sent during "business hours"

March 20: IV Bill Invoiced & Paid

March 24: IV Bill Shows Paid and DS260 Available online

March 25: Supervisor states AOS packet approved

March 27: DS260 & Supporting Documents submitted

April 18: False checklist for IV Packet

May 4: Checklist requesting proof of eligibility (passport or BC). Wrote a nasty note back with a passport attached since they already had both as its part of the IV Packet duh

May 13: NVC Approval Email

Embassy

May 16: Interview Scheduled June 25th

May 28: Medical Exam Completed

June 25: Interview Montreal

Call the NVC and speak to an operator. Ask them about this. It might be fake but you can't be sure unless you call and speak to an operator.

Hi! As per Ms. Saylin's process, you can wait a week before calling NVC.

You're here! lol. Ok thanks. I'll just call them again next week. Do you have your case number already?

Haha best place to be if you're on the NVC process. We don't have the case number yet, based on the spreadsheet, I'm thinking we'll be getting it 2nd or 3rd week of April. :)
