Thank you! I got an E-Mail. I also got a 2nd email before that..checklist that Police Clearance Certificate is missing. Which is bs since I sent it in. I will call NVC Monday to figure out why. But appointment letter did say to bring the PCC to the interview. So she should be good to go.

. Hi just how died u get pcc from India on first place because I heard that you won't get pcc until you get checklist from NVC n it will delay your wait times? N if you got your pcc then how? Can you tell me

Apparently PCC procedures in India depend on what state you are in. For Maharashtra (mumbai) it was super easy...my husband booked his appointment on the Passport Seva website, went to the location with his passport and a copy of the NOA2 from USCIS and was issued the PCC on the same day. I feel really bad for everyone from the other states that have such extended wait times and delays. You should probably just call up your closest PSK and find out what is required.

To start with make an appointment at your local passport seva kendra by logging onto passport website. For PCC you pay Rs 504 and they give you the date and time. But don't worry about that and go to your PSK the very next day. If police verification was done when you initially got your passport then they will issue you the PCC same day. If not then same old procedure they will send verification and wait for it to come back to there office. You don't need any documents to show them.

I applied for my PCC on February 2nd and will be going to collect it tomorrow. My state is Uttar Pradesh and local PSK is in Bareilly. So my advice make an appointment and visit the PSK ASAP..

Okay as USC they will not be immigrating or following to join, but they do count in the household count of the sponsor. So the USC's household count will be 4. (beneficiary, himself, 2 children.)

That means, according to the I-864P, he needs to make $29,437 per year currently, or have $88,311 in assets. So if he doesn't have that, you will need a joint sponsor. The joint sponsor will only add YOU, the beneficiary, to their household count for the poverty guidelines. For example: if he has a single guy friend who is willing to sign an I-864 for you, the household count for that I-864 would be 2 (beneficiary plus sponsor.) If it were his sister who has 4 kids and is married, it would be 7, her family plus beneficiary. Make sense? Because his job will not be continuing in the USA, he cannot include that as his current income on the I-864. It needs to be current income and the only time foreign income counts, is if the job will remain after immigration.

There will be an outage On Pay.gov will be down tonight from 1:00am to 3:00am ET and on Saturday March 1st, from 5:30-6:30 EST. - from their website.

Thank you for your reply. So does he have to write $0 for his income?

Thanks!

My wife got her PCC from Kolkata Passport Office (last week) without any letter from NVC. She had a copy of the NOA2 with her, but they never asked for anything. All she needed to show was her Indian Passport. She got the PCC in matter of hours.

However, here is the catch. You can get the PCC from the city/state where your passport was issued. The process is super easy. However, if you are applying from a different city/state (different from the Passport address) then you have to show additional evidence of residence in that city (like utility bills, public sector bank statements showing that address etc.)

Hey Guys, checking in here........

I got my case approved from on 7th Feb ( USCIS says that your case was approved), however on 6th Feb itself, USCIS case status was that my application was sent to NVC for visa processing (it was from Nebraska service centre). It waited for entire feb month to get a case number but till now no luck with that.

I have got no mails regarding acceptance of the case at the NVC or assigning a case number. (I got hard copy of NOA2 on 11 Feb).

Is it really taking so much time for NVC to issue a case number??? Should i go back to USCIS and ask them if they have sent my application to NVC or not? OR should i call NVC guys if they have received my application.

I don't think he did... but I will double check. It's so confusing. We have enough assets, so hopefully it's OK..

Thanks lots again for your advice! I appreciate it. :)
