RFE Help to show proof of a bonafide marital relationship

Okay I need some opinions, help, advice for a friend who got a RFE from CSC on a I-130. They are asking her "to submit proof of a bonafide marital relationship".

I am at a total loss. I am suspecting that maybe her petition and all this evidence got lost (its been over 10 months waiting and transferred here and there).

This is what she said she submitted below.

1. Timeline of our relationship
2. 3 affidavit letters from family members witnessing our relationship
3. Copy of my Divorce decree
4. Copy of Marriage certificate from Nigeria
5. Copy of my Itinerary, tickets, hotel receipt & passport stamps of my visit to another country
6. Copy of Invitation letter for my Visiting Visa to Nigeria
7. Copy of my Itinerary, tickets & passport stamps of my visit to Lagos, Nigeria
8. Copy of a card my daughter made for my husband for birthday and Christmas
9. Copy of bank letter adding my husband as my beneficiary on my account
10. Copy letter showing our joint credit card account since December 2011
11. Copy of letter adding my husband to my car insurance
12. Photo pages of evidence of our time together and marriage
13. Our chat through Yahoo Instant Messenger (Aug 2011 – Jan 2012)
14. Our Skype chat & logged times of webcam from 2011 – 2013 plus 3 screens shots
15. Our Facebook chats from 2011 – 2013 plus 1 screen shot
16. Facebook chats with husband/wife’s family members
17. Our Blackberry Messenger chats (single month’s history)
18. Highlighted phone calls & text messages between us from August 2011 to present

Your input please. Resend everything again or what??

yeah, probably it got lost because she sent in too much evidence for the i130, one submits some evidence and the rest at the interview

some photos, the letters from friends, all copies of documents yes but that's apart from the evidence

all the chats are unnecessary for now

and maybe one or two things more, tell her to leave some things for the interview and get some additional as well

Well this is Nigeria this is what we call Front-loading because most times interviewing at that embassy (even for K1's) you do not get to show nothing. So if CO doesn't already have it you are screwed.

I know many denied at interview and he or she had the evidence the CO asked right there but he or she would accept it nor look at it.

The person should pray and resend all she already sent bcos seriously I can't explain this, let her pray to God and resend it and belive she would approve or may just may be the RFE was mistakely sent to her, the only Boniface evidence I added to my package was a copy of my marriage certeficate from lagos too and I was approve on the 23rd of January 2014,one love

Do you have recent pictures of you together and you with the family? That seems to be a big one. Chat logs are great but it could be anyone on the other end of the computer. Nigeria is famous for the internet thing. . What about receipts for sending gifts? I send boxes of stupid little things for birthdays and Christmas and sometimes just because and my husband saves the label from the package. He saves any cards I send etc. We will bring those to the interview. I add money to my husband's cell phone through boss revolution. I am able to print all the phone records by month and all the top up transactions. Just offering some suggestions. GOOD LUCK.

I got my 10 green card on January 15,2014, we sent my papers March of last year, I was denied first because they said we were lack of evidence. We sent them copy of our:

1: health insurance card

2:tax return

3: copy of our bank statement (both names on it)

4: itinerary(copy) with both our names on it

Then when we got our RFE letter we have to sent them,

1: letter from our friend that knew us since the day I got to America and until we got married

2: pictures of us together with dates on it,

3: identification card showing our address( proof that we still live together)

4: copy of our check ( joint account) our names are on it,

And we got get!

Partially it also depends on what consulate the information will ultimately end or the country of origin of the intending immigrant. I believe one of the first responses said the the chats were too much, but I disagree. If you think about what makes a real relationship, it's quality and content. Authentic communication. People on these forums have been denied for sending in screen shots of how many emails they send in a given time frame, but they could have just been emails saying hello.

So that being said, perhaps send a few solid emails from each month since the beginning of the relationship through the current date. Send in new text and phone logs, new skype logs and definitely letters. Pictures with descriptions are good and as well as letters from close family members and friends.

This is not the first time I have come across the term "front loading" when it comes to the initial I-130 packet for IR-1/CR-1 couples. Frankly, I can't see why one wouldn't send as much evidence as possible from the start. It sounds like the OP's friend did and still got a RFE! Eek!

BUT--Original poster, it's not clear from the list of evidence if the married couple has lived together yet or spent any significant time in the same physical location, despite having been married since 2011. I've been doing a lot of searching since we're putting the I-130 packet together, and while obviously documents that show you're legally and financially bound are important, it seems K1-style (so to speak) evidence like photos with family members and documented time spent together are just as important. The love stuff, in other words. Be sure to get more up-to-date "love stuff" for the RFE since time has passed. If the couple has been married since 2011 and has never lived together, I would imagine that was the red flag.

I have a folder with 19 pictures from the past 3 1/2 years. Was thinking of trimming that down, but now I think I won't! :/
