Sometimes NVC issues checklists where you can just bring the missing/incorrect documents to the interview. But it depends on if they state that in the checklist or not. If it doesn't state it, you can contact NVC and ask them to complete your case and you'll bring the document to the interview.

I just called them and the lady said they dont need the PCC to be sent in. Actually they are waiting for my marriage certificate. I had sent in an original certificate but they claim that its not original so I agreed to send in another one. The lady on the phone said they only need the marriage certificate and my wife can bring the PCC at the time of interview. I wasted one week waiting for my wife's PCC. Now she says that only marriage certificate is required to be sent in.

called NVC today again.. and still cant see our receipt number in their system.. the uscis case status website shows the approved petition package was mailed on nov 25.. its over a week now and they haven't received it yet..

for me, uscis shipped approved case to NVC on nov 5. and NVC confirmed they can see it was received on 25th of nov. it took 20 days for me. I still didnt receive the case number yet

With NVC there's a receive date and a RECEIVE date. I am sure your petition is sitting in stack in mailroom. NVC received it/ However its not entered in system so the person on phone has no record of you. When they get to it they enter your receipt number in system. And soon a case# is generated. So don't be discouraged whe they say they haven't received many times its there just noit logged in. Hang on.

Case Complete to Interview spreadsheet

yea i know they say 8 weeks but we can see from guides and other people's timeline here that its earlier on average.. so i am just going to call them everyday and i suggest you do the same..

Hi I am doing draft of my affidavit of support for my mom. I am confused and need some help.

I have income 2011 and 2012 not enough to petition my mom but my husband has enough income in the household 2010-2012. We are married filled joint.

So do I need to fill up Form I-864 and my husband I-864A? Then separate our income in each form?

Or I will fill up I-864 and check 1.a and my husband will also fill up I-864 and check 1.d and put our income in both forms? Will only answer 10 and will leave 11 and 12 blank? Is this the joint sponsor? Sorry if I am so dull about this Affidavit of Support.

I received two email. One was to pay the AOS fees and another was to my wife telling her visa process is now at NVC. I paid the AOS fees. What is the preferred way; wait for the AOS to be paid and then send the package, or send right away.

Will the IV invoice happen soon? or more delay?

P.S. I already filled the Choice agent before I got the AOS invoice.

Read post 1 and 2

Wait till the system shows as "PAID" then mail them out.

When does the IV bill get invoiced?

About a week or two after you complete the DS-261, NVC will accept and add it to your case file. A few days after that, the IV bill will be invoiced. You won't get an email of acceptance, so you need to call to find out when it's been accepted and added to the case file.

What is needed in the IV package?

Generally, the following is needed:

- Bar-coded cover sheet from payment portal

- Two passport-style photographs (2" x 2") of beneficiary (on the back, write: beneficiary's full name, date of birth, and case number)

- Copy of bio-data page of beneficiary's unexpired passport

- Original or Certified Copy of beneficiary's birth certificate, PLUS A PHOTOCOPY

- Original or Certified Copy of marriage certificate, PLUS A PHOTOCOPY

- Original police certificate(s)

Please read: http://travel.state..../info_3195.html for additional documents if applicable (such as petitioner documents in IR-5 cases or divorce/military records or proof of permanent residency, etc).

Also read the country-specific documents linked in the first post. There may be additional documents needed not listed above.

I have read it, but was curious if people have successfully tried alternate methods:idea:

I personally sent IV documents before it showed as "PAID". But then I made sure that the payment was cleared from my bank account before I sent it...

My husband realized that the "missing" documents had been there all along. Husband immediately mailed it back.
