I'm getting ready to send the IV package and just wanted to check/confirm before I mail it out. The below is from Saylin's post of what is required ( Thank you Saylin) but I have also read of others who included pictures, phone log, and other items that I had already included with my initial I-130 application. Should I include the proof of relationship in this package as well?

- Bar-coded cover sheet from payment portal

- Two passport-style photographs (2" x 2") of beneficiary (on the back, write: beneficiary's full name, date of birth, and case number)

- Copy of bio-data page of beneficiary's unexpired passport

- Original or Certified Copy of beneficiary's birth certificate, PLUS A PHOTOCOPY

- Original or Certified Copy of marriage certificate, PLUS A PHOTOCOPY

- Original police certificate(s)

Thanks

Just send in the require documents for now, you can bring photo and other items like that to the interview.

At long last got our NVC case number and Invoice ID number this morning. But I missed to asked BENEFICIARY IDENTIFICATION NUMBER. What is that for? :innocent: Do I have to call back NVC again to ask for the Beneficiary Identification Number? How long does it takes for NVC to send us email? I tried to open ceac.state.gov. site and saw our case number there but cant click on that payment mode.

Thank you for your input. and Ms.SAYLIN, I cant open some of the links you provided. I don't know why. Want to go over it and read but it wont allow me. (:

I was giving all the numbers but I have only needed the NVC case number and the Invoice ID so far. As you can see on my signature I'm doing the DS-260 online now and still didn't need the beneficiary ID. I'm not sure when it's required but I'm almost done and didn't use it yet. Good luck to you

It USED to be required to fill out the DS-261 and DS-260, but it seems like they changed that since Sept 1 now that everyone's required to do the form.

Can anyone else confirm that they didn't need the BIN to fill out the DS-261 and DS-260?

And NVC might be too busy. Try calling again later.

@Saylin

The DS-261 was available on the payment portal and I logged in just by using the case # and invoice ID #. I'm not sure about the DS-260 though since my IV fee is still 'IN PROCESS'.

Also, after the payment is posted as 'PAID', when you click on 'View', they give you the options of printing the 'Document Cover Sheet' among other things. But I noticed in the instructions that it says

"Unless this case has joined the Electronic Processing Program you will need a Document Cover Sheet."

So does that mean those who are doing Electronic Processing do not need to include the cover sheet in their AOS and IV packages anymore?

Timeline after visa approval

Immigrant fee paid on ELIS - Jan 24th

I know you can login to the payment portal and online forms portal without the BIN. It's always been like that. Where the BIN was required (before) was when you actually started filling out the form. On the first page, there was a question asking for your BIN. That's what I want to know if it's no longer there.

And yes, for quite awhile now (sometime after I went through), the instructions have said that. I'd still suggest including the bar-coded cover sheet though, but it's technically not required.

Has anyone else received their case #? Where can I find the list of documents needed to take to the interview? Trying to get a head, thanks!!

You need to go back and read Post #1 and #2. There are no documents you are taking to the interview. All document intake for CR1/IR1 is done through NVC.

If you have case# you have fees to pay online and other things read the post.
