You may have a bit of a wait. Looking at the timelines interviews for the DR seem to be 2 months out from case complete. Keep calling though. :)

edit:

I found this in the may interviews thread:

TeamMcGregor........03/15/13....03/29/13....05/15/13....IR-1/CR-1....Dominican Rep.

They recieved the interview date almost 15 days after the case complete... keep yer chin up!

Like Darnell said, include a separate letter requesting that your case be closed and the Thai police certificate will be presented at the interview. There's not a guarantee it will be accepted, but it's definitely worth a shot so you're not waiting around for 8 weeks on the police certificate.

Thank you Saylin! It's definitely worth it to me to try. :)

I am the petitioner.

Please see below for screen shot. I was wondering why it shows "Edit" beside the DS-261. I thought you couldn't edit it. Is it possible I didn't submit it properly?

Thanks.

Sorry for all the questions.

[...]

Interesting blink.gif I wouldn't think too much into it though. If you submitted the DS-261, then that's all that matters. Have you called NVC and asked on the status of your DS-261?

OMG!!!! CASE COMPLETE!!!!!!    :crying: :crying:

Just got off the phone with NVC my AoS was looked at today and he said I will be getting an email from them with a checklist because my package was missing something. I'm sitting here thinking there was SO MUCH STUFF I included what could possibly be missing. He told me "proof of my ownership of a checking account" OMG REALLY?! Can I just print my statement offline or does it have to be an official one from my bank? I do all my checking online so I don't have a paper statement.

He said they would email me and that I just printed that out with the proof and mail that in but that it would not be sent to me today. So I have to wait for them to email me or can I print the barcode sheet again and get it mailed to them tomorrow so they have it Monday?

You included assets, I'm assuming. Did you not send any bank statements?

And you can just re-print the AOS bar-coded cover sheet from the payment portal to use for the checklist. No need to wait for the checklist bar-code.

I'm confused, why do you need to send that?!? That wasn't in the list of documents needed for AoS packet!blink.gif

If you include assets on the I-864 form to qualify, then you need to include bank statements and such.

I agree. That's odd. I sent in nothing in regards to bank accounts. If that's the case then I'm due for a checklist too.

I have another question in regards to my AOS package. As of today it still has not been processed yet. In the event they reject me due to the fact that I was receiving partial unemployment benefits, can I submit a new package showing my new job? I literally just got a job offer several days ago (at least 2 weeks after I submitted the AOS paperwork) and what are the odds they will send a checklist or outright deny me? It's going to take a while to collect pay stubs. I do have an offer letter though showing my annual salary. I assume that this would suffice in lieu of a letter of employment? I mean, they say the same things on them.

I am the petitioner.

If you filled out the section on assets and didn't send any bank statements, then you probably will get a checklist for that.

Yes, you can include a new I-864 if you get a checklist with the new job information filled out. If you don't have any pay stubs by then, then yes, the offer letter will have to do. For the interview, have as many pay stubs as you'll have at that point.
