I filed end of July 2012 for my Palestinian husband and I'm still waiting for NOA2...It's beyond frustrating that people who applied aug and sept are already being approved!!!! I tried to expedite and got denied a few weeks back. I'm so scared that this i-130 is gonna be denied (for whatever reason) so while it's still pending, should I apply for 129F and send in my reciept? I'm 9 months pregnant now due at any time and my poor husband is stuck in the Occupied Territories of the West Bank, literally stuck there in such a dump..I said it before and I'll say it again: To all of you who are waiting for your spouses in another country, be lucky that they are in a REAL country and not being OCCUPIED BY ISRAEL (such horrible conditions set forth by israeli governmnet) :(

please please what advice do you have or what would you do ??? some people have told me it's not worth it to apply for i-129F because I should technically be getting an answer "soon" but what is soon? a few more weeks? couple more months? no one knows.

You can't apply for the I-129F because you're already married. I-129F petition is for unmarried fiance(e)s. I do empathize with your situation, though. I know that life is deteriorating there rapidly in the Israeli government's war of attrition against the Palestinian civilians but you're just going to have to be patient. It is still his country so he knows how to manage himself while waiting for his interview. Just try to relax, have your baby and know you will get him home eventually. Lots of people have been in your situation before you and endured. Wishing you the best and hope it's approved soon.

The I-129F is what is used for the non-immigrant spouse K3 visa.

3/2/18  E-filed N-400 under 5 year rule

3/26/18 Biometrics

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.

The K-3 is obsolete and it will take another 6-7 months to approve anyway. As far as I know they haven't moved K-3 petitions to the national benefits centers so it's going to CSC or VSC. It is a waste of money because she will get her I-130 petition approved faster.

There have been I-129Fs for K3 approved out of NBC in a pretty quick time frame.

Perhaps the I-130 will come faster because she is in the processing window for CSC, but for the rest of us...it is certainly an option that is back on the table.

A 129f results in a K 3 which isnt used any longer. Waste of time, money and false hope.

Your 130 will be approved unless there are serious problems.

Timing of your pregnancy has nothing to do with the U S govt or immigration procedures.

The situation in that area of the world hasnt changed much for many years. Life brought you together with a Palestinian man it seems.

Your husband is likely to endure a long difficult A P process coming from that part of the world. This is just part of the worlds political situation. I am sure you were aware of that before you entered into this journey.

Actually you're wrong the socioeconomic and political situation in the West Bank and Gaza has gotten much worse in recent years. Every day their world gets smaller and smaller thanks to ever encroaching illegal Israeli settlements and less and less economic opportunities. Then of course come the occasional so-called "precision strikes" against the people in Gaza. But you are right that her petition will probably be approved soon and they will move onto the next stage. I don't think AP on Palestinians takes as long as other MENA countries. People's VJ timelines don't reflect that. But Pakistan and Yemen it can drag on for years. Don't know if it's because the background checks themselves take a long time or because the state department likes taking their sweet time.

Those rockets fired at random targets out of Gaza may have had something to do with the situation you describe including the precision strikes if thats what you call them.

You can take up the actions of Israelis with the U N after you consider the country was created by the USA where the UN offices happen to be.

If you start to go through the threads you will see that california is starting to process July petitions.

I am surprised that folks continue to overlook the Obama move that made it possible for all the illegal immigrants to apply for legal status.. why is that important?

All petitions are going to the same facilities... California Service Centers alone have gone from a 5 month processing estimate in August to over 16 months now per the USCIS estimated processing times although here on VJ it seems to be a bit shorter than that.

Yes it sucks big time, but you are getting close to the next phase which for that part of the world will involve further delays.

Sorry, but those are the realities.

You can always get a free consult from a lawyer, but that doesnt mean you will have your petition processed any faster.. but then again it couldn't hurt.

Good Luck

Yes, but at the first sign that the petitioner has both in progress, the 129F will usually get halted and the 130 left to proceed. Nothing says you can't try. Several people have lately, but I have not heard of one single success.

I'm a dual US/Hungarian citizen (both by birth; Hungarian citizenship verification TBA), and my husband is a dual British/Irish citizen (by treaty) from Northern Ireland. We are atheists.

All advice is given pursuant to the Disclaimer that you may read at the bottom of each forum page.

07 Aug 2013: Green Card received

That is interesting. I know EmilyS had one in progress but it got closed at the consulate when they found out she had I-130 on deck as well.

It is very confusing to me. Just when I think I understand the process...

I would suggest you not to flood USCIS with even more paperwork, slowing everything down for everyone else.
