Make sure you check your junk mail and I would turn off any spam settings you have atm to make sure you get the email. Mine went to Phoenix so they might be different than Chicago for notification. Can you see when the money order is cashed?

The DCF petitions are treated very differently. From all indications those of us residing in non-DCF countries are remaining at NBC to be processed.

9/29/06 - Started dating my husband (LDR For 5 years after 6/07)
8/22/12 - Married in Japan
10/10/12 - I-130 Sent (Japan Post)
10/12/12 - Received at Chicago Lock Box
10/15/12 - NOA1(no email, had to call and find out and recieved the hard copy 10/22/12) case at NBC
12/14/12 - NOA2(no email once again,randomly checked it online)
01/07/13 - NVC Case Received
01/25/13 - Case Number assigned and AOS fee billed(somehow NVC didn't write down the proper emails for my husband and I )
3/06/13 - AOS invoice paid!(more like the 4th,when they withdrew the money!)
3/04/13 - DS-3032 email sent
3/13/13 - DS-3032 replied to
3/14/13 - IV invoice billed
3/16/13 - IV invoice bill paid
3/19/13 - NVC withdrew my money(waiting for the PAID STATUS)
3/24/13 - IV invoice officially paid
4/03/13 - Sent AOS and IV (without PCC....doh!) package via next day mail
4/04/13 - AOS & IV Package received
4/16/13 - AOS accepted(found out by phone april 17th)
4/17/13 - NVC wants PCC(found out via phone)CHECKLIST!

was the money order drawn on US funds? It took me around a week to get my NOA1 text and email. Hopefully it will come!

MSC and NBC are the Missouri Service Center or National Benefits Center. Same place

I got the MSC number on 10/10/2012 but still can't see any status online... I saw posts that no updates unless it is approved or RFE...

26-Sep-12 - Became US Citizen (I did wait for this to file I-130. I think I should have filed as LPR and upgrade my case later)
3-Oct-12 - I-130 Sent (Fedex)
23-Jan-13 - NOA2 : Interview at field office - APPROVED same day!!!

Yes, my money order was made in US dollars. And when I called the USCIS to see if that was an issue, they didn't seem alarmed that I sent my filing fee by that method. They told me it takes 10 calendar days to get a NOA1 =/. So just gotta wait and see I guess (-_-)

But now im freaking out cause doing a search, it seems I did have to use a check/or money order from a U.S. institution.....

My case was NOA1 on October 05, and I still can't check it on My Case... I think it's a widespread issue, a lot of people have this same problem. Anyone who filed recently been able to view their case status online? sad.gif

Here's what I posted on another thread.

Ok so yesterday I call USCIS from work, to try and figure out why two weeks after my NOA1 I STILL(and many other people with MSC numbers as well) can't see my case status. Well, they ask me if I'm the petitioner or beneficiary, I tell them I'm the beneficiary, they ask if the petitioner is with me, I'm like nope she's at home...so they're like well you need to tell the petitioner to contact us...I guess even for such a simple question they cannot provide an answer unless you're the petitioner.

So I get home, and ask my wife to call...They ask her a few questions(which I could have answered as well), and they can't find the number in their system either. Then they transfer her to someone else who asks some more questions, who CAN find the file. Bottom line they said they are having technical problems with the computer system(I guess it's just as bad as taking a month to fix a printer) with adding new receipt numbers in and they are working on it. They also told her that it's being processed and that processing time is 5-6 months, although they would probably say that whether it was 3 months or 9 months.

That's all I know folks.

09/16/2016: THE END - 4 year long process all done!

So I guess the hubs and I won't bother checking it online then and just wait for a text or email... Maybe with a new fiscal year they'll fix the system? Or if enough people call and complain they might too.

allright, so apparently they did cash the money order and I got my case number. I don't know why they didn't notify me by email as I specified(cost me 80cents to send that extra paper in!), but I shall recieve my hard copy NOA1 soon since they mailed it out on the 15th.

Im also at the MSC,and like you guys I can not see my case.

I also found out from the guy I spoke to on the phone hat this whole process should take 5-6 months, but he said it could take longer for some people.

What those deciding factors are? I have no idea.
