allright, so apparently they did cash the money order and I got my case number. I don't know why they didn't notify me by email as I specified(cost me 80cents to send that extra paper in!), but I shall recieve my hard copy NOA1 soon since they mailed it out on the 15th.

Im also at the MSC,and like you guys I can not see my case.

I also found out from the guy I spoke to on the phone hat this whole process should take 5-6 months, but he said it could take longer for some people.

What those deciding factors are? I have no idea.

I think it really depends on the individual case, amount of proof, problems with the application such as errors in spelling, dates, etc. It's basically just a huge investigation from what I understand and it takes time to dig up all that information. Once it gets transferred from the USCIS to the NVC, that's when things begin to pick up and both the applicant and beneficiary will need to start filling out more forms and moving forward.

Hey everyone. Sent in our I-130 the beginning of the month. USPS confirmed delivery on 10/12 and still nothing. No noa1 or anything.

I am in the same boat but mine was sent last Oct. 12 and delivered on the 15 via USPS too.

If you included a G-1145 for e-notification, wait a couple more days and then call USCIS, otherwise it can take up to 2 weeks to get a paper NOA1.

Aww you're wedding date was the same as mine!

Did you file from abroad to a lockbox in the USA or did you have a Direct Consular Filing?

And you already got you're NO2?! Or did you mean that you got a notice that your papers was transfered to NBC?

p.s. to coaltoasty:

Thanks for the tip! Before this whole ordeal change from Aug 15th and transfers, I already had my stuff ready for the NVC stage.

My mom keeps reminding me how she sent her w-2's,express mail, just to hear I will be back in the states so her $30 USPS express shipping fee was

futile =/
