some people specifically look outside of the US lol.. they are not satisfied with "american made" products ahah.. no. just kidding, but i wonder if anyone has ever married someone out of country, then divorced and then finally married an american..?

It's the other way around with my husband! He had dated americans then married locally (American), then married from his native country(me)! We knew each other since we were teenagers, but he had to migrate when young... He always came to look for me when visiting, and finally, we got together 4 years ago! Apparently, he always wanted the Trinidadian woman! lol

Each persons case will be different but for me I have to spend this stage of my life with someone from my culture/tribe, same language, core values, etc, besides, have you seen Yoruba Women? Hawtness (F)

To get to your question, yes as such is available here but Nigeria is such a hard place to get a visa from that most ladies, the traditional ones that I am ONLY interested in, from my tribe that are already here are mostly married, or have lived here for donkey years already so they have lost that traditionalism that I crave, etc.

PS: I was married for 13 years or so to a USC (British originally) and we have 4 kids. So been there, done that, have the divorce decree

Love it. Beautiful. My man is Igbo I am American with ancestry from Sierra Leone (so they tell me). I been on this earth a long time. There is no method or plan in my case to seek out a certain ethnicity or nationality. I just started talking to someone who had the same likes, goals and thoughts as I did. Me and my husband are truly a hand and glove. I am His missing piece and he is mine.

I just look at it simply as God's way of bringing the world a little closer together. One relationship,One Visa Journey at a time.

Look at what all this cross country world travel romance has done just for this VJ community. Can you imagine if everybody on earth was on here. WoW. Hmmm than again :D

HELLO PEOPLE :) I WAS WONDERING WHY MOST OF US HAVE FOUND THE LOVE OF OUR LIFE IN OUR NATIVE COUNTRY? WHY WE WERE NOT ABLE TO FIND IT IN THE US?:no:

I am laughing so hard. This is the first time I will reply here....Well I have been here in the US for 19 years and I married an American we had 3 beautiful children and we are very good friends. We divorced, I was alone for 8 years and dated only Americans. As a Brazilian woman I heard...you are too affectionate...lol. My husband is an old friend from high school. We have so many friends in common that our wedding was filled with people TRULY happy for us and the fact we re-connected. So I found love in an old friend. I am very very very happy with him. It is very different to relate to someone that is from the same culture, and has the same beliefs. I believe that people can find love anywhere but in my case I feel the difference and your question hit the spot!!! I just cannot wait no more.....I look at this site everyday. I want to relate to people that are going through the same process. It is driving me crazy to be away from my loving husband.

Very sweet.

I looked for my old sweetheart also, 26 years later, but alas she was happily married already. My loss, but such is life. But then I met my fiance and I was whole again.

Nice.

Unfortunately, apart from my family, I only get support from my VJ family

Most of my American friends and coworkers do not understand why I would date internationally, at great expense and have to deal with the bureaucratic issues of immigration.

I had always known i wanted to marry a Serbian just because I love my culture si much but I never thought I would go back to Serbia and find a guy there since there are plenty of us here in America. Regardless at 18 I went there met the love of my life came back here and tried to ignore it and find one here but it didn't work since in 2008 I got back in touch with Serbia and the love of my life now I'm happily married with a baby on the way.

I would like to add that previously to that I dated non serbs and just didn't find a common ground. Also maybe the thing that attracted me to my husband over there was that he still held certain values close to him that people tend to forget once they come here.

Well, I know my USC fiancee told me that all american guys are ####### (the ones she met and the ones she was hanging out with, to be more specific). She was also in a relationship for 6 years with a USC guy and he ended up cheating on her and treating her like ####. With me she feels loved and meaningful in the relationship :)

well my husband was married to an american girl before when they were very very young, then he went overseas on a tour of duty and she cheated and they separated, she filed for a divorce, blah blah. him and a lot of his friends told me then when he was in Iraq, he would tell ppl that he would get home and get him a Russian wife, mind you, we didn't even know each other back then, and what do ya know, 2 weeks after he returned home, we met in our little town, where the chances of having a Russian around are slim to none (people are just used to me now, but before me, they didn't even know where russia was).

so yeah, i always tell him, be careful what you wish for, cause you just might get it ahah.

As my mom says... no American guy would be able to put up with me!

My husband is a rare combination of handsome, stubborn, independent, and hardworking, I don't care where he's from, I'm keeping him!

I was definitely NOT looking for a husband when we met, but then I realized he was a one of a kind (L)
