That seems silly to me. We would say I love you soon after we met.

Our VisaJourney started July 2009 when I mailed the 129-F

Fiance here February 2010, married 10 days later

GC received in the mail 10-Jun-2010

Able to apply to remove conditions 12-Feb-2012

I think that if you are saying 'I love you' within the first weeks that you met, this can look suspicious at high-fraud consulates - and on some consulate websites, this is specifically one of the warnings. For example, this is on the Morocco Consulate's fiance page:

"Some of the signs that an Internet contact may be developing a relationship with a U.S. citizen in order to obtain an immigrant visa through marriage are:

Declarations of love within days or weeks of the initial contact;

Proposals or discussions of marriage soon after initial contact;

Requests to the U.S. citizen to visit the foreign national’s home country soon after the declaration of love or proposal;..."

ive read in some sites that if you put down i love you in your chat logs, skype or anywhere. the co may deny your visa because how can you be in love with someone you have not lived with ?

not true! if anything, you should show that feelings developed into love and what better way than in black and white, to use as proof (right?) and which is why a lot of applicants include their chat logs as proof.

although it's still more probable to fall in love with someone you saw in person, many VJ members are living proof that a lot of people fall in love with people they've chatted with for some time because they still see each other "face to face", although long distance.

think about this, if you asked yourself the same question and your answer's NO, then either you have not fallen/are not truly in love with whoever your chatting with and just happens to believe that you have to see te person live to confirm/verify your feelings for them, right? =)

Showing your relationship develop and the feelings of love that come about are helpful for proving relationship. Saying "I love you" in chat logs is not a bad thing, if it isn't within the first few days or weeks of course. They are looking to see if you have everyday conversations any couple would. That would include telling each other you love them.

I guess its diffrent for everybody, for us we were or at least I was 99.9999 percent in love before we even met face to face and quite frankly I think the love occured very quickly and yes while chatting at that. I have always heard the saying " when you know you know " I never gave much thought to that saying but now I understand it completly. I cant see how after months of chatting, skype, Facebook, letters and acutal visits ( twice in 6 months ) they could be alarmed with somebody professing love early on in a relaionship, plus isnt that what the ninty days is for? once your fiance has arrived if there was any doubt once so ever you still have ninty days to not marry. I wouldnt worry about it, I think they are pretty in tune with fraud and should be able to see legitiamte relaionships when they are in fact legit. I think you will be fine, Good Luck too :thumbs:

Recently,many people met online, fall in love without met them in person at first. These situation affected how the CO would give the best questions to find out if this is a LOVE or something else. Most of all, can CO's have living proof that if you don't seem your loved ones in person and lived with them it can't be love?. I suggest them to read story of Khalil Gibran how he fell in love through love letters. They need to read Gibran's book," Broken Wings" to understand about LOVE. Technology makes almost everything is possible. I guess the COs probably live in Stone Age if they can't understand this way.whistling.gif

Why would you marry someone you don't love anyway?

My guess is that it's better if those messages for K-1, is after the meeting in person and after the engagement or marriage for CR-1 couples.

Maybe just CO's preference. May not lead to a denial maybe put into more scrutiny. Depending on the country and reviewer.

Thank you...smile.gif. I am a huge fan of his books especially "Broken Wings" and "The Prophet". These are his masterpieces. He can described the beauty of love without having it before our eyes. Another writer that can reveal the mystical of love is Paulo Coelho. He is renowned writer from Brazil and widely famous by his book," The Alchemist". Whoever has a doubt about how we describe love need to take a note from these writers.
