It has nothing to do with the visa thing. But since we're here, all of us must be in a long distant relationship. Just very curious to know what age group most of us are in?? For us, I'm 37 and she's 32. We met 4 years ago. How about you guys?

Hi We met a year and half ago when I was on vacation in Turkey. I am 38 and he is 30....

Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T

Old enough to do it right, but young enough to do it twice.
Same here, si man. Mrs. T-B. wouldn't have EVER married an Ecuatoriano; they're predominantly machista. She was fully prepared to be an "old maid," si man. Edited by TBoneTX

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).
