I just turned 32 and my fiancee will be 24 in June she is from the Phillipines but i met her in the Cayman islands where she works and lives currently her whole family is there. My boss sent me there for work and i seen her right as i was pulling into my hotel from the airport, she was walking to a bar/restaurant on the oceanfront with her cousin. I ran in the hotel grabbed my video camera went down to the bar and pretended to be filming the ocean while debating to talk to her. I then stopped at her table after building enough courage and just to make convo asked her where the good spots in town were which i really wasn't interested in just needed an ice breaker lol. We ended up talking 4 hours that night and went to dinner the next day, i flew out the day after that. I ended up flying to the Caymans 5 times since we met, March, April, July, December - engaged and then March of this year :D

I recorded her on my last day of my first visit in March and when i arrived home i wrote this.

I took out the camera and hit record, with a surprised look on her face she said; oh! It's a video? I replied yes without much thought to the question. When I got home I hit play and what I didn't see while recording was more than just a video. It was a moment instilled in my mind as she slowly began to look away; her lips transforming into a broad smile, the soft tone of her shy voice emanating from her lips as she asked me a simple question. With the sound of the ocean waves crashing against the rocks around us I can see that we were happy. All of this happened within 15 seconds, such a short amount of time for such a lasting memory.

Travis and i are both 21, though my birthday is in june and Travis' is in november. We met on oberst-online almost two years ago, i'd only just gotten the internet then too, it's like it was fate, signing up to that forum was the first thing i did :)

12/09/11 AOS package delivered

12/14/11 Received NOA for I-485 and I-765 (we're not applying for AP)

12/22/11 Received letter for Biometrics

01/04/12 Biometrics in Phoenix

01/31/12 Received email update from USCIS saying that we've been scheduled for an interview

02/03/12 Got an email saying card production had been ordered for my EAD...now just to wait for the card...

02/09/12 Received email saying EAD card has been sent

02/13/12 Received EAD card :D :D :D :D

03/06/12 Interview in Phoenix :).....Approved :D
