there is no fairness in this process, and to be honest no one in this government cares about people who try to bring their loved ones to the state legally.its like in the states, the cheats and liars get more attention, but this is the only option we have.

Yes,i aggree with you..its unfair!!!..CSC is more faster than Vermont....i have no idea why Vermont is so slow of approving petitions...Actually we are 1 of those who belong to Vermont service CEnter i hope it won't take so long...Anyways,goodluck to all of us!!.God may help us for our journey......God Bless to all....

Sometimes one service center has more petitions to review than the other. When they get past their estimated timeframe, they may start reshuffling them among service centers, when possible, to speed things up a bit. I saw that with my group (April 2009 K-1 filers).

Hang in there! It really does happen in the end (although the wait is extremely difficult).

why would they forget about you because youre japanese?actually IF race mattered, middle easterns would be the first ones to ignore, because some middle eastern countries have very little or no contact with the states, background checks are nearly impossible to do

Welcome to the Club! We filed August 30th with no response from Vermont.. Better sit back and relax. These people have no theory to how they process obviously!

David

You need to go to your senators or congressmans website and ask for help. It is easy to do and you will get a response because you are outside its normal processing time.

I contacted my senator and our case as approved by the USCIS two days later.

Good luck!!!

You just gotta keep telling yourself you are only waiting a short while to be together for the rest of your life!

I do know what you mean though, it's been 4 long months TODAY. I have also found there is no fairness when it comes to this process. One member *MET* his fiance online in December 2010, met in person and mailed the I129F in January, and got approved in February. There's absolutely no fairness in that.... I had already filed my application before these jokers even knew the other exisited!!!! I know the blame isn't on those people, but on the service center. If these applications only take 15 minutes, why is there such a back up??!?!

From the Igor's list for Vermont service centre, it seems December filers have been completely forgotten as if they are not part of the petitioners here. Looking at the graph while petitions in other months are being processed rapidly even February, December is completely dormant. :(

How fair is it that those that filed in January and February are being rapidly approved and some people are waiting for 6/7months :crying: for same approval when it only takes 10/15 mins to approve a petition.

I know my journey just began nevertheless, I have been waiting patiently and happy for those getting approval knowing fully well that its is first-come -first-serve basis till that time when I will receive my own approval. However, after seeing all these (especially Jan and Feb approval ), I couldn't help but begin to wounder what is actually going on.

I am glad that others are succeeding but shouldn't it be in order :innocent:

I guess it might be too early for me to start venting and getting anxious knowing that I still got more months ahead. All the same i wish someone with inside information would enlighten me on why this is so

FYI, these are from Igor's List: These quick NOA2s just started in February this year. From July 2010 thru Jan 2011, its a miracle to see one of these, unless its "Expidited". Now they are all over the place. I already got my NOA2, but I agree this is mind boggling. We are always happy for folks to get quick approvals but it should be "first come first serve basis". These does not include the one's that did not update their timeline.

Hello, I in no way wish to be rude, but come on dude you haven't even reached the 5 month period! :bonk: Honestly you knew from the start it would be atleast 5 months. As for the CSC being faster than the VSC, that's just how it rolls, when I was at the CSC guess what??? VSC was faster! The 2 centers seem to flip flop back and forth, breathe easy and relax, you still have some time to go... Imagine how those of us that waited our time and got the case complete out of the NVC and were ready for our interview feel, the Embassy in Egypt is closed due to the unrest there. The way things are looking you may have your visa in hand before those waiting for Egypt, imagine how that feels! And FOR SURE my journey began long before yours did. Best wishes.

My heart went out to those who were in Egypt the second they closed the consulate. I don't know how you guys stay so strong in the fact of so much uncertainty. IT must be really hard. Truly, I feel like I have no right to complain when I hear about delays that must be much more nerve-wracking than a run-of-the-mill delay that everyone is experiencing.

But I have to say, I never really understand why people always say "oh, the VSC and the CSC flip back and forth, you'll see, it all evens out..." Because the fact is, the average time at either center has NEVER been as long as it is now - and VSC is way longer at this particularly brutal time. Before, when VSC was "ahead" everyone was still getting approved in about 3 months!

Before 5 months, this was bearable. I waited and I honestly didn't complain. It's only been after 5 months that I basically lost my sanity. So, the difference between the 5 months average that it is taking the CSC and the 6 + months it is now taking the VSC is HUGE. The bottom line is that if you get your NOA2 in less than 5 months, you really can't complain.

I just want to say that in the US, telling the truth will get you far and will be rewarded. Liars and cheats may get more attention, but their lies will come back to bite them in the butt, sooner rather than later.

Yes I posted about this issue a few weeks back as well .. that post received similar comments about: we just have to wait, there is no logic in the process; we should relax; focus on things we can control, etc ...

I was hoping for more factual explanations and since there are VJ people that have been approved out of sequence, perhaps they would be able to add reasons that could help clarify the situation. I saw none, i.e. they weren't expedited as far as I could tell.

I'm fully prepared to wait the 5 months or even 7 or 8 months if I have to, and part of that waiting is reading the forums and trying to understand the process. Its much more interesting (to me at least) to read comments that offer speculation or informed rationale for a question, rather than the standard replies of "be patient" most posters get.

One additional comment about the our of sequence approvals is this: VJ only represents 4-5% of the total K1 population. Given that, there are in fact hundreds of approvals happening in January and February. Either this situation has happened a lot in the past, in which case there might be some explanations, or it is unusual and therefore a good question to ask.

They have shown that with the ridiculous HR 692 that congress has introduced. A big slap in the face and FU to people trying to bring their loved ones here.

Another December filer here, Some days I really think I'm gonna go crazy and other days I think maybe even if there's no logic to the USCIS there must be to God/The Universe, Maybe nothing arrives prior to the right time, So I am working on self improvement and trying to keep busy, spending a lot of time with those I will have to leave.

The hardest thing for me is wanting to plan a visit, but at almost £2000 a trip for myself and my two children its not worth going for less than a month, my fear is we would get there, receive our NOA2 and have to return. Ugh

My brother has renamed the USA The United States of Paranoia LOL His girlfriend is from LA, and they were able to be together within a few short weeks because she was able to move to him. Its pretty heart breaking, but we can all get each other through it. Remember focus on the end result and good luck! :) -Jade

Here's my speculation. Government office has been given a mission to maintain a specified processing time. Government office struggles to meet mission. Government office processes newer applications to "massage" office performance.

I personaly don't buy the theory that well prepared applications will be processed faster (as has been eluded to in these forums). How can one application be processed in 25 or 50 days when another application that has no RFE's can take 200 + days. The rule may be "first come first serve" but that rule ain't hard and fast.
