Congrats to everyone who is being approved...

Well that's my first week in at my new job & everything is going well with it.. Just feels great to be working again & making some pennies. :dance:

We first met online 2004, but things started to get serious in Dec 2007. Made my first visit to the USA in march 2008 for 2 weeks. Then returned again in Aug 2008 for 3 months.. Then i came back to the UK for 5 months to return back to the USA April 2009 for another 3months.

Our AOS just got approved yesterday! after 2 months and a half, them losing my medical and costing us $300 to redo it but it all worked out!

It's very funny and ironic to me that I got my green card and my AP & EAD didn't even get touched! I also got tons of notifications, even a day later!

Congrats to all who got approved and to those who didn't yet, it's coming!

Just checked the postal mail and lo and behold, her EAD card was there waiting for her :)

I am guessing we can now go ahead and cruise down to the local SSA office to update her SS card (?) We tried with just our marriage cert. before .... to no avail :P

We were transferred to CSC earlier, and today we got this notice:

On April 5, 2011, we transferred this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case.

I guess they changed their minds and wanted us to have an interview after all? Bleh.. need to start gathering evidence.

Congratulations on the EAD, AP and interview date, Macaroni!

Jay-Kay, that kinda stinks about going from CSC back to NBC. :\ I'm sure you'll do fine, though, just one more bump on the way to the GC.

Before Journey:

Met online in 2002 as friends. Fell in love in 2005. Got engaged in 2010.

K-1 Journey, January 2010-July 2010:

NOA1: January 29. RFE: April 21. NOA2: June 4. Interview: July 15. Visa in hand: July 20. POE: July 22.

July 24, 2010: Married in front of 150 of our loved ones on a beautiful, sunny day. Living happily ever after and oh so thankful that 5 years of a long distance relationship and 7 months of a visa process is condensed into one line.

Adjustment of Status Journey, January 2011-March 2011:

January 25: NOA1 for AOS and EAD. Feb 5: Bio appointment received. Feb 7: RFE. Feb 11: Sent RFE response. Feb 23: AOS transfered to CSC. Feb 25: Biometrics. March 11: EAD approved! March 19: Received EAD. March 21: AOS approved! March 25: GC in hand!

And we'll live happily ever after.. for the next 2 years, anyway.

Received Welcome Letter yesterday and today got my green card!!!! :dance:

Congrats on all approvals and Interview dates and good luck to all those still waiting.

Received combined EAD and Advance Parole in post today - it was dated 29 March and it is still showing as under initial review on USCIS website. All good, lets hope the Green Card follows soon.

Exactly! I wouldn't have minded the wait as much with the original K-1 visa if I could have just been with my Dane. Never have to worry about that again, thankfully. :)

Since my husband will be getting an Oregon Driver's License this Friday, we booked our honeymoon to Hawaii next month! :D The reason we didn't do it before is because we didn't want to fly with his I-94 expired in his passport. But since you don't need a passport to fly to Hawaii since it's within the U.S., we will use his Oregon driver's license for his identification. And we decided to book the trip as soon as we could since he doesn't really want to apply for many jobs until the Hawaii trip is over with, he's afraid he wouldn't be able to get the time off that soon for our Hawaii trip if he got hired soon anyways, so that makes sense.

But yeah, I'm excited. :P But if we do have an AOS interview, I hope it's not during our trip, what we booked is nonrefundable. So if that happens we'll have to change the interview date, even though I know that's not a good idea. Hopefully we wont have an interview though. *crosses fingers*
