My fiance and I have been together for over 3+ years and we speak daily by phone, email and instance message. My fiance, got internet installed in his home so we could use skype to talk longer using VoIP and it was less expensive. All of our communication was our natural habits but having daily emails, calls and chat records will also help when someone outside of your relationship is determining the validity of it.

We talk daily on MSN unless there is a reason we can't be online. We talk on mic for anywhere from 3-5 hours a night. Maybe write him a letter or email explaining how much you miss him and that if you would spend more time together online it would help you while you're waiting for this long process to be over with and you're together. Good luck to you;)

He would wake 1/2 hour earlier each day to talk to me on MSN. I would call him at my lunchtime which was right before he wanted to go to bed.

We would email each other (long emails) every now and then (we'd take days to write them), and sometimes actually hand written letters.

I got an iPhone so that i could email his phone and he could email mine so we could text all day.

I felt I really needed it to stay emotionally connected. It's hard to not have your loved one there to hug when things go wrong, or things go good. It's hard to not know what's going on with their days.. you feel very disconnected.

I hope you're able to get him to contact you more.

**Edit - people keep listing their time difference so I will. I live in Australia so because of daylight savings we would be 15, 16 or 17 hours apart depending on the time of year.

Since I met my Fiance online, we never missed a day without chatting, calling or sending emails everyday and I am 9 hours ahead. My day is not complete without talking to him. All of us are busy and get tired of working but hearing something from your special someone can make you feel great except ofcourse in times that you have misunderstandings (it's normal).

In your case, maybe your husband is busy working but it's not an excuse. He should find time for YOU. Send him an email telling exactly how you feel or call him. I know the feeling. :luv:

Try to take a look at my avatar, I sent it to my Fiance and he said, the little girl looks like me when i was a little girl and it shows my feelings with a note I miss you (L) and little girl's facial expressions.

ah you also have that kind of husband. I usually call mine every day or every other and make sure to send at least one text. He is a quiet person and finds his life boring but I knew that from the start and we understand each other that way since I like to talk a lot and he likes to listen

I speak with my wife daily. About once a week she would go to an internet cafe near her house and we chat on yahoo. Since her family have a home business, she doesn't have too much time to go to the internet cafe. I spend about twenty dollars a week loading up my calling card. About 500 minutes for the twenty bucks with no fee. We also send text messages often and I also send texts to her sisters and call my mother in law from time to time. For us, it's a fourteen hour difference. It's about noon already over in Cambodia and its barely 10 pm here. It keeps me sane and I mix both English and Khmer when speaking with her and vice versa.

Thanx a lot my dear Vj members.my husby calls me every other day and sometimes every 2 I'm not too comfortable with.previous he was calling twice weekly and I also call like twice in a week.but I informed him later that I need him to talk to me often and he now calls me every other day.I want to tell him to call me everyday before going to work,I hope that does not mean I'm asking for too much.he doesn't do text messaging or chat online, that's one problem I have with him.thanks once again for your wonderful replies.Gud day or night depending on the time.
